"I had been eager to visit this restaurant for some time due to the positive reviews. The pub has been nicely renovated and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the food did not live up to our expectations. The Albondigas starter was tasty, but the sharing Camembert starter was lukewarm and it was clear that a ripe one had not been used as it did not melt. We expressed our disappointment to the staff. As for main courses, one person in our group had the delicious salmon, while the venison pies were decent and the king prawn linguini was lukewarm. We once again shared our disappointment with the staff, as we believe honest feedback is important for the kitchen. They offered to replace the pasta, but we declined as it would have meant eating separately from the rest of the group and it was not as enjoyable as we had hoped. The restaurant seemed quiet for a Saturday evening, and we regretted not opting for Sunday lunch, as that is when the good reviews seem to come from. Would we come back? I don't think so, but I hope we just caught them on an off day."

Had an amazing afternoon tea in June and visited again on Sunday , Sunday lunch was very nice , staff are all lovely and helpful, even got a doggy bag !

The food at this restaurant is beautiful, with generous portions that are home-cooked. The decor is lovely, and there is a nice beer garden. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

Excellent food and service. I had the fish and chips and the fish was lovely and fresh and the batter lovely and crispy. My husband had the venison pie which was really tasty too. The place is well kept and lovely and clean.

Without doubt the best Sunday Lunch we have ever had in a Pub! Starters were great, the main was a feast and served piping hot. All followed with a great pud. Staff are super efficient and friendly and the beer is not bad either. Will definitely go again…

This is the second time I've been to the Crown at Yoxall for Sunday Lunch and it has been outstanding on both occasions. Great food, everything presented beautifully and the portion sizes are most certainly value for money. Staff are super friendly and always on hand to help. Look forward to returning soon to our new favourite.

This restaurant in the heart of Yoxall is beautifully decorated. They offer a wide selection of food and drinks. We tried the salmon, prawn linguine, and fish and chips, all of which were delicious. The desserts, including apple pie and cheesecake, were also fantastic. The portions were generous and the overall dining experience was great.

First time visiting as heard good reviews. Lovely decor, friendly staff. Food was nice although beef fatty but was given more after I asked. I asked for a side plate for my 1 year old to have some of our roast dinners but was asked if we wanted a Yorkshire pudding for him, we gratefully accepted. On leaving the pub we reviewed the receipt and had been charged £2 for this Yorkshire pudding!! That is extortionate especially as it had very much been implied that it would be a freebie, he's only 1! Disappointed and likely won't return.

Surprised my Mum to an afternoon tea for her birthday; and from start to finish it was a genuinely lovely experience. From the warm welcome on arrival, the perfectly choreographed service, the delicious food and incredibly attentive staff throughout. Could not fault anything! My mum even said “this is the BEST afternoon tea I have EVER ever had” (and we’ve had a few! . It was really nice to have a bit of a different take on the traditional afternoon tea the coronation chicken naans were deliciously different! Thank you Simon and the team for making my Mum’s birthday treat so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back!
