We had a fantastic experience at this welcoming pub and will definitely return. We parked our Motorhome overnight for free as long as we dined at the pub. We just had the most delicious and wonderful lunch at The Crown Inn at Shap! They opened at noon and because we took a day away from walking the Coast to Coast (lots of rain! we had time to relax over lunch. We visited with the proprietors while the coal fire was built in the fireplace and ordered homemade tomato soup (for me and a ham and cheese omelette for my husband, and coffee for us both. Two hours passed (a total surprise! . It was about to storm again, so we closed our bill and walked to our B&B. What a great afternoon. Wonderful people, great homemade food (all of it!! Even the sausage! . They told us about how they invite campers walking the C2C to camp on their property, also. So... Ver carta
