Stopped for coffee and cake whilst out and about. Friendly staff clean and tidy. Small cafe on the main stretch of road towards beach.

This is THE BEST breakfast around at a reasonable price. Well cooked, great variety, served on a hot plate and proper thick slices of toast. Nice friendly obliging staff too. What more is there to like!

Really welcoming lovely café with options for all dietary requirements. Service was nice and quick, coffee was very tasty, prices reasonable, and they provide highchairs for little ones. Highly recommended Ver carta

We had an incredible high tea experience at the Cupcake Cafe. We loved the Brie and Cranberry sandwiches, especially when toasted. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and we would definitely return. Thank you, Cupcake Cafe!

We went to this lovely little cafe twice for hot drinks. Staff was very friendly and happy. There had a spacial hot drink borad and first visit i had the chocolate orange hot chocolate husband had black coffee with cold milk to the side. We went bk in the today and i had a carmal Latte and my husband had the same. Again the staff was very happy.

We had a wonderful experience at this charming cafe when we stopped for lunch with my husband and two young children. The menu offered a nice selection of sandwiches and full meals. Our server, a lovely young girl, was attentive and checked in with us about our order. She even asked about the size of cutlery we preferred for our children, which was a thoughtful gesture. Me and my partner visit here every time we come to Paignton as this is honestly the best cafe for breakfast. I stopped by for a cream tea lunch. There was one lady (who appeared to be the manager) in the kitchen preparing sandwiches, while three other staff members were working at the front of the house. One young lady named Izzy, who had only been there for a month, seemed unsure of what to do. The tables needed clearing and she stood around looking confused. The manager then proceeded to scold and belittle the staff in front of customers, and later in the kitchen, shouting at them. This behavior was very inappropriate, and several customers commented on how stressed the manager seemed. We visited the Cup Cake Cafe on a visit to Paignton, it was such a pity we found the place on the last day of our weeks holiday. We had a light breakfast, I had bacon and egg sandwiches and Viv had eggs on toast. Both were perfectly cooked and served by a very cheerful cook. The lady taking the orders was so cheerful, even when my partner asked for a milk shake but could not make her mind up which one of 2 she wanted, the server said she would make one with a mixture lol, it was delicious. They say you can always tell how could a cafe is by what is left on the plates when people finish. I did not see anyone leave anything.
