An informal family friendly place serving good food you can tell it was good by the number of locals eating there! Super friendly staff. Small playground that our 2 boys (5&8) enjoyed. Very happy to recommend.

great gnocchi eaten at the fried dumpling day of excellent quality, definitely the best of the coast. meat is a guarantee. the highest levels of profitteroles as well as lemon delight. the girls who serve at the tables are very kind and kind. only negative: too many noisy children

Fresh, homemade pasta, tomatoes, mozzarella, great desserts. Family atmosphere but very nice. Play area for children with live music for adults. Dogs and cats roaming around. Patio is spacious and well decorated. Enclosed by plants and trees. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Lovely evening.

I was recommended this restaurant, it was great being picked up and dropped back after. I went for the 40E T-bone steak but disappointed that there was only half of it. It was very tasty and tender but just would have liked the whole thing. Quite expensive but a nice evening apart from children running around everywhere.

Our hotel recommended this restaurant and we are so pleased that they did. We ended up visiting every night of our stay as the food was excellent and the service friendly and attentive. It is clearly popular with locals which is always a good sign. The restaurant provided a free taxi service for us to and from our hotel which was reliable, safe and much appreciated. Prices were much better than in the centre of town and by UK standards, very reasonable .

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend from the area and we were not disappointed. A lovely friendly atmosphere with lots of local families having an evening out. The staff were very professional, the place was immaculate and a little quirky. All the food we had was delicious and you can be collected and dropped back at your hotel for free. A real Bonus when taxis in the area are not cheap. My octopus salad was so tender with lots of subtle flavour. I wish we had discovered this earlier in our holiday.

The BEST thing about this restaurant is that they send a free taxi to pick you up and return you to your hotel! Our hotel, La Badia, was way up on a hill overlooking town, so quite an expensive taxi ride to town. We appreciated the free service to Da Filippo. It is an outdoor restaurant with a playground for children and very reasonable prices. There is always a fish special of the day, sometimes Mahi Mahi, and sometimes Amber Jack, both of which are delicious! The Caprese Salad is big enough to share, and the ravioli with the Italian sausage makes a yummy and filling meal! Both the Lemon Surprise and the Tiramisu are excellent choices for dessert. This is a cracking family restaurant and must visit if you're visiting Sorrento and want to try proper Italian cuisine. It was so good, we had to go back again. Both times, the food was exceptional and very very reasonably priced. You know it's good when the restaurant fills up with locals. On both occasions, we shared a bottle of wine, a starter, two mains (pizza and Steak/Fish), pudding and lemoncello for under €70 each time. Mediocre food quality, steak served cold, poor service. It doesn’t even deserve one star for service. The cashier is rude and cold. Pizza was burned. Liqueur was served with a floating insect and when pointed out, no apologies given and was even placed on the bill. Bottled water served already opened. We had an unfortunate incident of finding a piece of sharp glass/hard plastic as I was finishing my child’s food. I actually had to spit it out.
