I did not give the fifth star for the simple reason that although the location is very beautiful and the quality is definitely good, I think for my way of understanding currently a dinner, there is need less tastes and much less for the voice. pleasant and familiar environment. simone, kind and professional immediately puts us at ease, recommending us to the best. all gorgeous and well cooked, homemade desserts. quality, price, excellent.

I recommend booking in advance. Excellent Tuscan appetizers and marinated aubergines. The grilled cod, fried chicken and rabbit and horse tartare are delicious. Very friendly, helpful and professional dining room staff. Experience to be repeated.

the trattoria certainly does not need my positive review, but if after 40 years I am still amazed at the quality of the simple and traditional dishes, both for the fast and courteous service, then it deserves another recognition. Long life in julia.

local that has a long tradition. I have long been missing and after so many years I have found the solidity of a Tuscan home cooking rich in flavor. the dishes are those of tradition but cooked with mastery. the staff is very kind. the price quality ratio is great. to try

We booked a few days before we got to Lucca, thankfully! a little tired from the trip as soon as we got in we immediately filmed! friendly, lively, attentive staff to each customer makes slalom between a table and the other with the dishes in hand, ready to respond in Italian and English. in the menu there is the embarrassment of choice, not enough a dinner or a lunch to appreciate the kitchen. absolutely to try!

I asked a local friend, where we could have a nice italian dinner, at a place where the locals would go and not some touristic trap. He recommended Da Giulio so we went. The food was very good, typical of the region, the service was...friendly and there was a big variety. I didn't really like the steak we got, but the rest of the plates, salads, pasta etc, were very good. The ambiance was a bit old but it was also off season and the restaurant was practically empty. Maybe that's why it felt like that.
