You could easily drive past this but you would be missing out. It’s a hidden treasure of Lucca. Great food and table service in the secret garden. Will return.

we went here to have lunch during the holidays and enjoyed the full menu at 10 euro. laarrabbiata pasta had a very tasty and homemade sauce while roast beef was cooked at the right point and felt the goto of a quality meat well above the proposed price. but having condiment with nutmeg, from us very welcome. very kind staff and beautiful location.

Didn't book and arrived to find they were full so went back the next night. Looks poor from the outside but once you enter you know you are on a good thing. Had octopus burger, bit worried about what would come, but superb. Crispy octopus in a bun with lovely mayonnaise and wasabi could have been hotter). Mains were great. Roasted rabbit succulent, pork tenderloin a delight. Desert as lovely. Whole meal plus 1 tire of wine and 2 spritzer was €50. Service good, food great. Why pay silly money. Best meal in 3 weeks in Italy with a price comparison.

Stopped for lunch driving from La Spezia to Siena. Definitely not a typical tourist destination; we were only non-locals in the restaurant. Food was fresh delicious. Spouse had penne pomodoro the penne was cooked perfect al dente pomodoro style sauce was subtle but full of fresh flavors. My gnocchi w/broccoli was fantastic. The gnocchi was like little fresh pillows of heaven and was sitting with sliced broccoli in a light cream sauce. Service was wonderful attentive; all while dealing with the local crowd of workers on their lunch break. A great experience. Ver carta
