An exceptional evening thanks to hosts Jeoff and Claire. Wine tasting was great fun and informative, accompanied by delicious food. Highly recommend.

Visited with 7 friends, waitresses were fantastic hosts and very knowledgeable about wine and food, unlimited wine stocks, great prices. Food was amazing a brilliant selection. Definitely recommended.

A very pleasant easy going place for a drink and snack or cake. Nice watching the world go by, sitting higher up than the main road going through the village. The only fault is the rubbish under the tables and tables need to be cleared as the customer leaves. Fag butts in the flower pots not cleared for many days or more. Ver carta

I drink a lot of coffee and this is the worst coffee I’ve ever had. Ridiculously bitter gives you a headache. There’s also a gentleman that works here that is very sarcastic, singing load who constantly makes cocky remarks. To top it off, my Paella wasn’t cooked all the way through so I had to send it back (they reheat the rice in a microwave).

Contact to see if it would be possible to deliver breakfast to my mother and father in law for my mother in laws 85 birthday. I was working and would not get to see her until weekend. They delivered the most amazing breakfast for delightful lush exceptional food . My in laws felt surprised and over the moon with food and delivery at 8.30 in morning. Can thanks everyone involved at dailings enough .

We haven’t been here since pre-COVID and always thoroughly enjoyed eating here so decided to book for our ‘girls’ dinner this evening. Not disappointed, the food was delicious, I think we had one of everything between us and it was all served piping hot, not easy with so many different plates. The staff were all lovely but we were mainly served by Alice who is delightful! Pleasant, polite, professional and willing to hop up on a chair to take our picture from the best angle : really pleased they still sell my favourite wine, Robertson Rosé. Ticked all the boxes this evening, can’t wait to go back. Ver carta

I went here to purchase some breakfast sandwiches. The restaurant had run out of bread and all that was left was sourdough rolls. I was in a rush to feed five of us and decided to just try the rolls with bacon. The rolls were fairly nice but did not go with the sandwich filling and they contained minimal bacon. The bacon was nice but nowhere near a sufficient portion filling. The bacon was basically 2 pieces of streaky bacon that was lost inside the bread. I do not think it was value for money and we were left hungry and had to purchase an additional breakfast from nearby. The staff were nice and friendly but sadly the portion size let them down.

The way a customer was spoken to by a member of staff when he walked in without a mask on was utterly embarrassing. The customer, slightly taken aback by the abrupt and loud ‘do you have a mask?!’ enquiry proceeded to don his mask, which unfortunately for him wasn’t fully over his nose this mistake was quickly pounced on with a loud demand ‘can you put it over your nose!’ I’m pretty sure he felt like a naughty school child. Interestingly most of the staff were wearing masks below the nose or under the chin, not exactly to WHO standards. But then of course, you can’t catch covid whilst making coffee or preparing food, only whilst consuming it…silly me.

With more than an hour to spare while in Kings Langley High Street, I popped into Dalling Deli. I ordered a hot chocolate and asked if they had a gluten free cake. Charlotte behind the counter offered a choice of three. Impressive! I chose the lemon drizzle which was delicious. The hot chocolate, first and last image, speaks for itself. It was past 5.30pm and clearing up time so I took my tray through to the adjoining wine shop/bar. I believe it stays open until 9pm. Several people were drinking wine and there was a relaxed, happy atmosphere. I didn't get the name of the young man behind the bar, but he was courteous and helpful to people who came to buy or sit.
