"I lived in Thailand for three months and I never ate anything resembling the food that this restaurant churned out. The pad thai was a horrible clump of noodles in a uber mild chili sauce with some prawns in it, that 's it, nothing else. The chicken satay was rubbery and unspiced, the satay sauce was a lumpy peanut butter that had been watered down, I didn 't detect any chili or soy sauce or anything resembling flavour. I could go on but why bother? Was this a bad night for them, I really hope so, otherwise I am completely baffled as to how they manage to get any good reviews at all."

Had an enjoyable and relaxing meal with close friends. The food and service were excellent. Nice to walk out of a restaurant and not feel that you have been overcharged.

Still the best find in Broadstairs. Six of us tucked into the set meal on the first day we were allowed to eat inside! Lovely food, great flavours and generous. Friendly service and the restaurant allows you to bring your own drink as well.

Called on the off chance I could book for just me and was lucky they could fit me it. Had a lovely meal as usual. This is the menu and prices correct as of March 2023. Very reasonably priced and I will be back ASAP I felt I just had to share their menu.

We booked a table for 9 to celebrate my daughter's hen do. We ordered a set meal, which cost £19 per head and it was fantastic value. Huge portions and we took some home. A family run business, cash only and byo with no corkage charge. Lovely food and friendly atmosphere.

I just had THE best prawn pad Thai chicken red curry in town!! I absolutely love Thai food so have sampled a lot in this area and I will never be ordering Thai anywhere else. I got a takeaway, called to order, ready in 20 mins to pick up, food was piping hot and the flavours.. wow! 5 out of 5!

The restaurant does not look fancy from the outside but it's so lovely. The food is amazing, great price and extremely tasty. Although the menu does not have much vegetarian food, the restaurant is more than happy to oblige. You can also bring your own alcohol which is very helpful. It was my first time but will definitely return. A big mention to Sam the waiter who was just excellent.

Green curry was grainy. It had cabbage in it. I don’t mind cabbage, but I’ve never seen a green curry with cabbage in and I’ve eaten in a lot of Thai restaurants and been to Thailand. Due to the strange texture and not great taste, I’m sad to say most of it went in the bin. Beef in the Thai beef salad was chewy as a bootstrap. None of the mint or basil or herbs I would usually associate with this dish but a strange collection of chopped veg that made it look like a Greek salad with beef on top. Tom yum goong was the only edible thing about our takeaway.

This is simply the best Thai restaurant for miles. The freshly cooked food is simply sensational. The set menu is the best way to try a bit of all the flavours of meats and prawns (which are the biggest, succulent prawns anywhere) and at £18.00 per person for 2 course's, you'll not find better, take your own drinks and will add up to a very affordable evening out. Please try this place for yourself, I absolutely promise you this little gem will become a regular restaurant for you. We have been many times and yesterday for my birthday which was perfect. Thank you and see you very soon.

"Having been raised at the knees of Caribbean and African women, sometimes I’m just in need of some soul food. I’ve often gone past Mullins and seen that it is busy, and looks bright, clean, warm and friendly. And it is. The decor works really well. Low-key, warm and welcoming. Music is a soothing stream of lilting Caribbean classics. The waiting staff are lovely. So friendly. And the menu looks great. There isn’t too much of it, and it is quite hard to choose because it all sounds amazing. Price points are really good. But. The food is genuinely terrible. I went for a Creole fish stew. I don’t know how you can make a stew without flavour. When you are cooking things slowly and together, flavour infuses flavour. But not here. This was a good sized portion of piping hot well presented food. But my God it tasted awful. Basically chopped potato surrounded by small lumps of bland unidentifiable white fish, half a dozen mussels, some of which were still closed, and therefore inedible, and three flavourless prawns in shells. There was a pinch of Samphire on the top, and this was the sum total of the vegetables I could find. It came in what I can only describe as a thick red sauce. If there was tomato in it, there was no flavour to it. It was highly salty, and this was the dominant flavour throughout. The fish had no flavour of fish, and it was intensely spiced in a lip plumping way. Essentially, it was all heat and salt. With a slight tang of gents toilets. I suspect this was from the mussels. I did raise the blandness twice with the waiter, and the strange unpleasant toilet flavour. He said he would tell chef. And that was that. No feedback on the dreadful flavour other than that it was all fresh. I ate the entirety of the meal because I had travelled a long way and had not eaten. I saw it simply as fuel. It was not enjoyable. I paid and left. Mullins is so close to getting everything right, but a restaurant is its food. I’m not going back."
