Just had the most amazing dinner with a group of old friends. Interior was timeless and elegant. Highly recommend this place. Carpaccio was out of this world and the slow roast pork belly was one of the best pork dishes I have ever had! Ver carta

Popped in for Lunch whilst mooching around Soho with my wife. What a delight, delicious Pasta dishes and a good selection of wine. Even though it was fairly busy, we were not rushed and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. All in all, a very pleasant couple of hours..

I’d heard great things from a colleague at work and 40 Dean Street did not disappoint the restaurant’s interior is not only refined and beautiful, but the lamp rump was one of the most delicious I’ve ever had. Lovely courteous staff and just a great night overall, would highly recommend :

Having tried to avoid the tourist trap Italian chains around Soho we chose 40 Dean St. Unfortunately the food was very poorly prepared. The chicken Milanese was dried like biltong and brown at the edges, had it been re- heated? the spaghetti was a congealed lump under an overly sweet tomato sauce. It reminded me of mass pre prepared canteen food that had been kept warm under lights. It’s a shame as the atmosphere seemed good service was good, and it was busy. Ver carta

Great atmosphere and very popular but some menu items need refreshing. We were in a party of five and some choices were lovely. I had the squid which was very rubbery and clearly under cooked. A signature dish of lobster ravioli at £23/24 was not good. The pasta was filled with a seafood flavoured ‘mush’ which clearly had been through a blender and then sieved. I had difficult getting it down and I would have sent it back if I had been out with just family. I mentioned to the waitress who brought the bill who shrugged her shoulders oh dear

We booked online with a quick confirmation and friendly reminders as well, which was helpful. It was just two of us and the staff welcomed us very warmly and sat us outside until our table was ready where we had a drink and ordered our food, so it was very nice actually being seated outside before we went inside. On a warm day it had nice air conditioning inside and decorated brilliantly, makes you feel very warm, welcome and happy. We had cocktails, starters and mains. All the food was brilliant, couldn't fault a thing, we just didn't leave enough room for dessert which was a shame. Next time we will try leave some space as we will definitely be returning. The menu has such a great variety...

While the food and drinks were generally ok, unfortunately the service wasn’t. We were waiting for a long time despite there being hardly anyone in the restaurant. The staff brought a main meal our with the starters we were flexible and accepted it but with no thanks or apology. The staff just weren’t very proactive for example we had to ask for more drinks, after waiting a good 15 mins with empty glasses. And to top it all off, the female manager with silly pink hair seemed to have a massive chip on her shoulder. It was our friends birthday and I had made them their favourite cheesecake. I asked them if they could provide some plates for us to eat it after our meal, but she rudely proclaime... Ver carta
