Dene's Deli - Carta

Donna provided excellent service during our visit today. My sister and I stopped by for coffee and a takeaway sandwich, and she was incredibly friendly and helpful.

The sandwich at this restaurant is amazing and the staff is lovely. I especially enjoyed the Kamikaze chicken bap made by the short Irish boy named Josh. I will definitely be coming back!

Yes 27 years I have been a customer , this my third review , why ? Because good is good and consistency deserves praise, the staff are warm friendly as is the owner, the sandwiches excel, I bought four in 5 days three ate by friends from London up for leave and they agreed 5 stars all the way , please keep it up team Denes Deli

Popped in on a busy Saturday afternoon. I only wanted a bottle of water so grabbed one out the cooler. Everyone seemed to be waiting to be served along with me yet 4 members of staff were stood at the end of the counter just chatting and giggling amongst themselves and ignoring said customers. Ended up putting the water back in the fridge and left. Wont be going back. Ver carta

Fantastic sandwich/food shop with knowledgeable, brilliant, friendly, helpful and eager staff. Huge range of sandwiches and other quality food stuff (including sauces, jams, chutney, soft drinks etc etc). Was busy when we went which is always a good sign and been in business for ages outstanding place. We bought three different types of sandwich and three cakes all fresh and tasted lovely. Thoroughly recommended.

Nice sandwiches however far too costly We sat and worked out how much the sandwiches cost and the owner is completely ripping customers off overcharging for sandwiches Yes they have a nice selection however totally overcharging customers She needs to reduce the amount of staff she has and reduce the cost of the sandwiches as I would hang my head in shame charging someone over five pounds for a sandwich especially when people are struggling with the cost of living

What a find! Visiting Jesmond food market with friends we chose to seek out this deli as opposed to queuing at the stalls on the bridge. I was greeted warmly, guided through the menu, and the girl who served me even helped me choose. The menu is huge and I was spoilt for choice! All our sandwiches were made individually to order with great attention to detail. Ingredients were top quality, fresh and good value for money. Great cake selection too. Thank you.
