Café Dichtl - Carta

Araber was so sugary but cappucino was great. Nice ambiance

we went to this place with high expectations, but were disappointed. the cakes were at best cut, the coffee was not good either. the interieur is beautiful, I should give it to them.

Dichtl is one of those cafe's that had GREAT street appeal, easily drawing you in. One look at the cakes cabinet and I knew I had to take a break here. Nice ambience, food coffee. Thanks. Ver carta

Worst service level I have seen in all Bavaria. You sit there and you need to wait for a long time for a waiter to show up. If you have time and are not worried about that, enjoy the delicious cake... or order to go.

The facility has the look and feel of a very good European Cafe. The cakes look like they will be delicious too. Alas, the service was unbelievably slow, the cakes very good and the prices rather higher than many better cafes. Still, it is probably...the best cafe in Augsburg.

I have bought cakes from here many times and each time I find myself disappointed. They look amazing but most of the time are quite boring. The prices are ok. From now on the only thing I do buy from there is the Brioche Loaf...(Hefezopf) It is really quite good and a very fair price. Ver carta

The cafe is very traditional in style and is reached through the retail cake shop. Clearly very popular with the local clientele and ideal for a relaxed lunch or cake stop. Spacious with comfortable seating and with good restrooms. We enjoyed some excellent salads and...friendly efficient service. This is not the place if you are looking for a quick pit stop but it makes for a delightful unhurried break on a day of local sightseeing.

The front is rather unassuming. When you walk in the door, you are greeted by a counter with the most amazing cakes and pastries. Head to the right and there are so many chocolates. Walk through the glass doors at the back of the shop...and you are in a rather old-school, classy kind of café, complete with mirrors, coat racks and small tables. I had a really good, reasonably sized Greek salad, which they called small. My husband had a delicious kohlrabi cream soup. We took turns going out to the pastry counter to pick out what we wanted to order for dessert. There is no dessert menu, when it comes to all the cakes and pastries. You have to go pick them out. It helps, if you jot down the name...

We decided to stop for a cake and a coffee there. The inside room looks wonderful and the cake quite delicious. We went outside to enjoy a nice weather, waiting for our cakes and the waitress to order coffees with that. We waited , waited waited waited ... Then, after quite a while, one of the waitress showed and actually, made a round to serve every table because everyone had been waiting for her, either to pay or to order. We got our drinks and cakes. It was good but not exceptional. 15 euros is a bit pricey. W It seems that the waitress comes outside every 20 minutes to check on the customers. At least this is what we observed... Not an experience we want to have again. I am sure there ar... Ver carta
