We called here for a snack and ordered some pretzels, breads and a cheese sandwich. All the breads were very tasty. It was a build your own cheese sandwich and the amount of cheese I wouldn't eat in a month!!!

Ate and drank here several times over the period of our visit to Cologne. Great outdoor seating by the river and perfect for people watching. Good food and wine at reasonable prices and great attentive service. Would highly recommend

We enjoyed a very nice pork dinner with fried potatoes, eating outside on the terrace with lovely views over the Rhine and looking up at St Martins Church. Service was fairly good and the place was busy considering it was a Monday evening.

Just stopped in here for a beer and a coffee. The coffee was awful. We told the waiter when paying the bill, he made an excuse but charged us anyway. When we queried this he said he would have to bring out the "chef'. We didn't want a big scene about a cup of coffee so we paid and left.

Stopped here for an Aperol Spritz and snack and found the first waiter attentive but follow up staff not as much. The menu had plenty of variety and for reasonable prices compared to most in the old town. Nice to be outside on a warm late summer afternoon for people watching near the river.

Went looking for a simple dinner and couple of Kolsch to break up the evening - initially wary at being ripped off being in the middle of the tourist old town. Fears were unfounded, good simple schnitzel with excellent potatoes with bacon and onion, big portions, good value, good friendly service who made up for our terrible German skills, sky sports on the telly, and good beer. What's not to like!

We drank some Kölsch, and ate Schnitzels with Bratkartoffeln - not fine dining but very tasty typical pub fare. Service very friendly and good banter with the wait staff - maybe just a tad slow, but this was a busy August evening so par for the course. We sat outside but the interior is fascination with lots of political portraits, well worth a look. The location on the edge of the Fish market square and facing the Rhine is hard to beat.

When we arrived (a group of 8 people) it was very busy. We did get a (outdoor) table, and was told we had to wait 20 minute before we could order food because the kitchen was busy. That was ok for us, so we sat down and ordered drinks. After 30-35 minutes without any attention from the staff, we found them and asked about the food order. At that point we were told that they were not sure we could order at all, and that people that ordered before we came still had to wait about 1 hour for their food. After discussion with what seemed to be the manager, who did not seem to understand that they should have told us this already when we came (we would then have found a different place), we decdid...

Me and my friends went to this bar on carnaval in Cologne. The bar was full and the party inside seemed really nice so we decided to order some Jagermeister shots. We paid for the shots but we received something completely different. Some tasteless liquor with the same color of Jager. Certainly a cheaper drink that they serve the drunk ones, but me and my friends could tell the difference. We are students, and literally spent our last coins in the drink. When I complained to the bartender he looked in shame but said that the drink was similar to Jagermeister. But I said that was not what I order.
