We added a serving of noodles to our order. Didn't need. Superb. Pop to Lidl for a bottle of Pinot Gris and you have the perfect dinner. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner"

"Wow! What an amazing little cafe, we stumbled across the cafe on a walk with our dogs. Such a warm welcome for us humans and our dogs. We are not vegan but the cakes we had were fabulous; lemon and poppyseed muffin for him and the Black Forest cake for me. The lattes we also fantastic. The dogs also enjoyed their doggy treats. Service: Dine in"

"A nice seaside cafe in the Norfolk town of Mundesley. We ate breakfast here with friends on a Saturday morning and I went for the Large Breakfast which came with a drink, scrambled eggs, rashers of bacon, grilled tomato, baked beans, sausages slices of toast. The cost of this was and for an extra I added mushrooms to it as well. Whilst the breakfast was nice (especially the quality bacon cooked just perfectly) there were a couple of things that could have made it much better and would have gained my visit a Very Good rating. Firstly the only option was to have scrambled eggs or boiled eggs... Now I've eating hundreds of English Breakfasts in my time in Hotel's, B&B's, service stations and Cafes and this is the first time ever that having a fried or poached egg was not an option. Secondly the sausages were of average quality, a good butchers sausage, (maybe from the local village butcher around the corner), would have made a big difference to the processed sausages that were served with the breakfast. Otherwise the service was good and the ambiance of the cafe was very relaxing with the huge windows looking out onto the village of Mundesley. I would eat here again but I do think the simple changes I suggest would have made my breakfast that much better."

"Lovely food. Lovely staff. We encountered the Crown on a spur of the moment drive through Trunch on our way back from the beach. We arrived just before 5 and were advised they had all tables booked for food but would squeeze us in if we could order quickly. (We did)! The food was amazing the staff were super friendly and accomodating. Everyone had starters and mains and the selection was great. We chose homemade pizzas for the kids and burgers for us. I would highly recommend the Crown in Trunch and will be returning on our next visit to North Norfolk."

"We were staying locally for a short break and the Mrs remembered coming here about 25 years ago so we thought we would try the carvery as a nostalgic return. Everything was pretty much as she remembered, sadly almost exactly as she remembered ! The staff were pleasant but the hotel itself was so dated. We had our dog with us and stayed in the 'restaurant ' area. Think more cheap cafe than hotel restaurant. The carvery was actually in the 70 's style function room. I tried a couple of meats that clearly needed re-hydrating with gravy. The roast potatoes were way under cooked and the vegetables had seen better times. The stuffing was probably just a packet of Paxo with hot water added, not even cooked. We tried the soggy and chewy batter pancakes which I thought were maybe a local delicacy, but no, they were in fact the Yorkshire puddings! On the plus side, the mash was ok and the pieces of crackling quite pleasant. It was fairly cheap and the Mrs, who is a veggie, got a pound off for not having meat.In summary, it was really poor. Not something we would recommend or return to. There are better around including doing a roast at home. Sadly, a disappointing return to a childhood memory."
