Delicious food, customer service was great, they even gave me free bread

I went to Devran a few months ago and forgot to leave a review. It was my first experience at a Turkish restaurant and I was not disappointed.

Wow! I am absolutely smitten with the food, hospitality, and service at this restaurant. I have never encountered anything as amazing as this in America. Ver carta

I don't often write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my thoughts on this restaurant. I generally only post reviews on Yelp when something goes terribly wrong or exceptionally well.

great for vegetarian as well as carnivores. always fabulous service, good food, friendly staff and neighboring atmosphere. also the wee is good and very valuable! I'm so glad they turned off the pandemic.

One of many Turkish restaurants on this stretch of Green Lanes. Everything was OK, but nothing to particularly enthuse about. We had Tavuk Doner chicken £18.50), Sigara Borek feta stuffed pastry rolls £8.90), Guvec stew £14.50) and a Vegetable Kebab £14.50). Ver carta

Fabulous! It was the first time I tasted Turkish cuisine and it was love at first sight: beautiful place and welcoming staff, always smiling and kind. But what obviously won me over was the food... plentiful and delicious, a very pleasant discovery. We were also offered dessert.

Lovely waiters and good food however the pricing is ridiculous. A fresh orange juice is £6.50, it cost the same as my simple lamb stew. Truly baffling. The lamb and aubergine stew was delicious, a little on the oily side though. As was the accompanying salad. We were offered a complimentary tea after which is pretty standard with Turkish restaurants but seems to be slowly phasing out at some places.

Just a quick review this time. Came for a friend's birthday. Staff were friendly and nice although lacked a little attention to detail, came for a table of 5 but only had 4 plates and cutlery for like 20 mins, eventually had to ask for it (Minor issue but was noted). So I've been to several Turkish restaurants in East London, so my comparison is against those. The Turkish pizza (Lamacun) I ordered was average. The adana kebab I got was nice And the lamb cubes were very good too. The Bulgar wheat lacked flavour and seemed a bit on the dry side. Hummus was average Salad was average Doner was OK. Drinks were fine as well. Prices a little more expensive than I'm used to paying for Turkish. Atmos... Ver carta
