"We came here as a family for my mum and dads wedding anniversary, I haven’t been here for many years and since I last went, it has been taken over by new owners, we all sat down and had a beautiful meal and the service was great. Such a lovely place in a beautiful countryside. Staff very polite also. Will definately return."

Excellent food service whitebait best ever , fish chips huge portion and tasty, pie FULL of meat , ham hock delicious, staff attentive , no room for desert lol

Brilliant as usual but the owner told us he was shutting and retiring on February 4th. It won't be opening again until he sells it. Very sad but happy retirement.

The food is delicious, but the prices are high and the service from the staff can be inconsistent at times. Bill, the front of house manager, is very friendly and welcoming.

Unfortunately the Dog Hedgehog is closing for good in a couple of weeks. Food not so good on our recent visit. Sadly though we are losing one of the few pub restaurants around that are worth going back to.

As usual had a fantastic Sunday lunch. Have been a customer here for the last 13 years since Bill took over. Sad to hear he is retiring in 2 weeks and the pub will be closing. Bill and the excellent food at The Dog Hedgehog will be missed.

I have been dining at the Dog Hedgehog off and on since the 1970s. I am deeply saddened to hear that it will be closing. In my opinion, it is one of the best restaurants in the area. Bill, the general manager, always made it extra special. He is such a character! Wishing Bill a happy retirement, he will be missed xx.
