"This restaurant, Le Donjon, at Domaine Saint Clair, is situated in a dramatic setting on a steep hill overlooking the cliffs at Etretat. The people and service was fine--very few people spoke any English. The aperatifs were great. There was a tray of amuses with...the aperitifs, half of which were fantastic, half of which were a good effort but failed, both of the fails related to freshness or preparation of fish, which was unexpected, being on the coast. Same was generally true of the courses in our 5-ish course degustation. Some were great, some were not so great, like the ris de veau, which didn't resemble sweetbreads we've had before--it was too large a piece of meat to have come from a calf. There seems to be a bit of acting too big for their britches--fancy efforts with some success and some failure. And, the dining room was excessively warm. After dark, they opened the windows which helped, but not very much (there seems to be a gnat problem before dusk). Overall we had a nice evening, but I'm not sure the quality meets the price."

We have tried the adventure of the formula en suite with haman meal in the gourmet room breakfast and champagne offered by the house it is not to do every day but these really nice for a magical moment

What a domain! the quality of the restaurant is really exceptional. Quick service. The dishes are a delight, the palace in a boil, the restaurant deserves the highest distinctions. a restaurant that puts stars in the eyes. a fireworks of flavors. Thank you.

We lived in the hotel and had dinner there the first night. The choice is not very wide but the dishes were excellent, including in their presentation. special mention for the "ballade à etretat." very attentive service, and a superb view on the cliff of Etretat.

really refined this hotel-restaurant located on the hill in front of the center of etretat offering a lovely view of the cliffs. spacious rooms with eclectic and extravagant style furnishings that never turn out excessive. Menu that includes meat and fish dishes and a light ice cream dessert ideal to conclude a summer meal. Ver carta

The kitchen is of quality. the choice of dishes is not wide but lets suppose a home made. a few small imperfections in the service: if there is no more bread on the table, the servers do not think of either proposing or bringing it. There is a clear lack of attention on the part of the servers: the glasses remain empty for a long time before someone appears. and comble: the last glass was served with the binding. The wine map is particularly expensive and offers a limited choice for a wine to all the scholarships.

I invited my husband for his birthday to the clear holy domain and we were delighted. We have taken gourmet menus (selected 2 entries, a course of cheese and a dessert.) the dishes were exquisite, refined, we loved and will return to it during a next trip to Etretannais.In addition, the setting is magnificent, we were able to enjoy sunset on the sea. The brigade is at little care and had very friendly attention to my husband whose birthday was (map in price and candle on his dessert.) The rates are reasonable in terms of the quality of the card. Run!
