"Aufgrund einer Empfehlung waren wir letzten Samstag im Cafe de Riex zum Essen. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Tisch direkt am grossen, offenen Fenster mit Blick über die Dächer des Dorfes auf den Lac Léman hinunter. Der kleine Saal ist traditionell gemütlich und hübsch eingerichtet mit atiken Bildern, Fotos und Gegenständen aus der Gegend. Wir haben uns an die Empfehlung gehalten und beim Chef persönlich das Menu Surprise bestellt. Zur Vorspeise hatten wir die Hausgemachte Terrine de Canard, welche hervorragend schmeckte und perfekt zum Dézalay aus der Gegend passte. Anschliessend wurden uns auf den Punkt gegarte Jakobsmuscheln mit einem warmen Gemüsefonds und Tomaten serviert welche unsere Erwartungen an ein gutes, solides Essen übertrafen. Zum Hauptgang tranken wir einen Merlot der Gegend, welcher überraschend vollmundig war und spannend anders als wir diesen aus dem Tessin oder Italien kennen. Auf dem Teller lag eine Entenbrust mit Kartoffel-Sellerie-Stampf und grilliertem Gemüse. Der Service war durchgehend sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam, sodass wir uns jederzeit wohl und willkommen fühlten. Wir können das Restaurant jedem Liebhaber der exzellenten Küche sehr empfehlen."

"I went there at midday during the week, the prices of the daily menus are very affordable and the choice varied. The sushi is excellent, the dishes refined (a little salty as is often the case with Asian cuisine) and the service is pleasant and efficient. I can only recommend this address, the pleasant edt interior and there is even a small terrace (three tables overlooking the alley)."

"Wir kamen zum Mittagessen als eine Gruppe von 7, darunter ein Neugeborenes. Das Personal war hilfsbereit und bot sofort einen Kinderstuhl. Das Restaurant ist nicht leicht zu finden und das Parken ist begrenzt. Die Dekoration ist einfach aber geschmackvoll. Es gibt eine schöne Aussicht auf den Genfer See, leider profitieren die meisten Tische, einschließlich unseres, nicht von der Aussicht.Wir gingen für la carte mit Vorspeise, Haupt-und Dessert (die Auswahl ist begrenzt, 4 von jedem Es gibt auch ein Degustationsmenü, aber es muss gesagt werden, dass die Gerichte sind genau die gleichen von laKarte, die enttäuschend ist. Alle Teller sahen sehr schön aus (siehe Bilder , ich würde das 62 'Ei als Vorspeise und das niedrige Temperatur Morille Rinderfilet als Hauptgericht empfehlen. Die anderen Mahlzeiten waren jedoch nicht das, was wir erwartet hatten und hatten nicht genug Aromen. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an lokalen Weinen, sowohl in der Flasche als auch im Glas, was wir großartig fanden.Der Preis ist ziemlich vernünftig für einen 16-Gault-Millau (CHF 800 für 6 , aber es muss gesagt werden, dass der Service ist nicht annähernd in dieser Rangliste. Wir leiden unter mehreren Anfängerfehlern, einschließlich Wein, der in Wassergläser gegossen wird (bereits mit Wasser gefüllt! . . .Ein weiterer Nachteil ist der langsame Service. Wir haben über 3 Stunden für diese 3 Kurse gebraucht. Dies ist nicht akzeptabel, besonders beim Mittagessen. Außerdem waren die Kellner für diese Art von Restaurant etwas zu ungezwungen. Insgesamt hat dieses Restaurant ein hohes Potenzial, aber besondere Anstrengungen müssen wir in den Service stellen."

"I am a regular there , 4 5 times per year. Take your time is meant because the Auberge de l 'Onde has two restaurant. The proper first floor with 40 seatings) and the brasserie type lower level 40 settings as well and...somewhat simpler choice and less elaborate setting.. but excellent). Since most people come between7:30 and 08:00 pm it takes time for the kitchen to get into rhythm since all is prepared on the spot and fresh . So don 't be impatient. Once the service starts you will be delighted either by the suggested menus degustation) or by individual choices. Great wines try the local specialties, much to be enjoyed at good price vs imported famous French names. Ask Jérôme the Chef sommelier, an award holding local. He is great in finding what is right for your taste. See pictures of the menu and some of the realizations. A delight for both the palate and the eyes. Booking is important Gault Millaud 15 pts) On the other hand this visit was during the Fete des vignerons a big event in the region that happens every 20 years and also during summer when the top restaurant is closed. What i did NOT enjoy was the “forced choice” for the whole table if 4 to agree on the same menu choice out of 3 options. The chef in this sense is very much “beach Headed” to keep it polite! Whilst the food was again delicious I could have expected to be informed beforehand."

"I came to this restaurant seeing the good reviews, however i was disappointed. Food was extremely mid, if you serve this capricciosa in Italy, they would be shocked seeing the poor quality of products, especially the olives and eggs. Also they don't use guanciale in the carbonara, it's a random bacon... Wine was mid, service was mid. The filet the perche were from the lake or not ? The waiter seemed like he had no idea or trying to dodge the question, it felt like the fish wasn't local.. Maybe I have too high expectations having lived in Italy but I would NOT recommend this restaurant"
