Really delishious and lovely service from the bar tender. We came in 20 minutes before the kitchen shut and had a pie each it was yummy. I am a veggie so had the mushroom pie and my hubby eats meat so he had the chicken. We will be back thank you

Such a lovely pub. We had the schnitzel special and served by Jo and cherie. Since the new management this pub has really improved. Cannot wait to return to try another one of their specials! Lots of events like quizzes and live music too we will have to check out!

Fantastic food and presentation. Pleasantly surprised having not been here for quite a few years. New owners very welcoming and accommodating for a late booking on Saturday evening. Chef must be Michelin rated... pie is a pie and not air filled pastry.... Will definitely be back..

Just stopped for a lunch and i went for classic hunter's chicken and it was amazing long time didint had such a good classic pub meal for long time only one minus that the portion of chips and onion ring could be a bit bigger but apart that the foor is amazing and atmosphere is really warm. Highly recommended if you passing through :

I visited your pub a few months back. It was two of us and we ordered a couple of drinks and some snacks from the bar. I ordered a pint of ale for myself. As I got to the table, after a few minutes it remained cloudy. I tried it and it was flat and tasteless. I went to the bar and explained to the staff about this situation. In the end I had to buy a new pint of lager. It's not exactly the best experience.

Lovely pub with a great setting. Decor is top notch and so was the atmosphere. All the staff are lovely too. Unfortunately though, despite it not being busy, the slow service and poor food quality (in comparison to the price) did let it down slightly. The fish and chips I ordered felt as if its been in the freezer for a few weeks before being cooked. Not very signature in my opinion. Despite all this, I would come here again.

At short notice on Sunday 9th July tried to book a table for two online but said full, I phoned up they said we was welcome to come but may be a little wait. We arrived about 1.30pm although the restaurant was full, the had tables on the bar area or outside, we sat in the bar area. We ordered a drink some food, we could see how busy they were but took our order at the bar, expecting a bit of a wait our food came out very quickly, it was very nice reasonably priced. The bar/waiting staff were very courteous worked hard under pressure, will definitely go back. Thank you

Well I was disappointed!! I went for the signature fish and chips. More expensive than the normal fish and chips at nearly £15. The menu said it includes Whitby scampi and a choice of bloomer bread and butter. Well I assume that the scampi decided to swim off as no sign of them whatsoever. The bread was possibly a bit stale? The fish didn't look great. The chips were nice. In fairness we were asked if all was okay just as the food was served and also asked if any sauces were required? When we entered the pub it did look nice and plenty of tables to chose from. We weren't informed about the parking requirements and entering the car reg. Our starters didn't come out together and half the party had finished before the others came out. The cauliflower cheese croquettes were tasteless, chicken stripe were the same as Iceland..the service was incredibly slow and our mains took another hour to come out. We were the only table in the conservatory area, and we felt forgotten. We asked for background music as it was silent and no atmosphere (we had to ask 3 times) mains very average but my steak was grisly and overdone. The new potatoes were like rubber and hard in places like they were from day before. Chicken, ham and mustard pie was dry and had no flavour, especially mustard flavour. We then had the joy of the (boring) quiz comin...
