"I frequent different Indian restaurants for different purposes: Saravanaa Bhavan (authentic vegeterian), Dishoom (excellent chain with good quality and service), Tamarind (luxury), Brigadiers (business), Gunpowder (Hipster. Beers with friends) and of course Durbar for the past 20+ years was my 'go to ' local curry house. Unfortunately, 'Durbar ' has gone downhill very rapidly. They no longer serve alcohol (there is nothing as nice as a beer with a curry), the quality of the meat is tough, the quantity of the food is paltry, the service is non existent, the prices are sky high and the atmosphere is dire. Goodbye and RIP Durbar. Thank you for the last 20 years. It was good while it lasted."

The food was nice but the service could be a bit more attentive. It doesn 't have a drinks licence so take your own wine! Overall a nice neighborhood restaurant. Would visit it again.

Nice food and waiting staff. Very pleasant people. The only downside is that they haven’t got an alcohol licence. They can sell any. But they do allow you to bring your own in. That’s a plus. Ver carta

There are hundreds of places in London to get Indian food. This is the place to go when you are in Baywater. The biriani was chock full of chicken. The lamb in the house special was tender and flavorful. We ordered everything mild and it all was perfectly spiced

This was our family 's first visit to Durbar, but will most certainly become a regular destination for us, now that we live here. We were looking for an authentic Indian restaurant, and were not disappointed. The menu is broad, with specialties from many parts of India, which will allow us to return for more regional visits . Every dish that we ate, from a simple Tikka Masala to the House Special tasted great and were beautifully laid out. The service was outstanding, very courteous, yet friendly.
