"When you get out of Wittenbergplatz station Einhorn is just about on the kitty to KaDeWe- with the station in between them. Decor is white with some red. It is light and breezy looking but thankfully it was warm inside! Hot food is at the counter and this had crumbed carrots with lentils,stew and potato mushroom bake amongst other choices. You can add Frankfurter sauce and fresh herbs. There was meat lasagna. There are also soups. The self serve salad bar is opposite the hot food. It is plentiful with grilled vegetables,lots of salads including couscous,noodle,green and potato to name a few,dips,sauces, olive oil,balsamic vinegar and bread. Cakes are in a display cabinet. I saw about five including cheesecake,pear flan,chocolate torte. They looked good. Drinks include fresh juices,fizzy drinks,beer and hot drinks. For lunch I had the potato mushroom bake and loads from the salad bar. It was good and very filling. I think this is a self-service establishment with a method like Starbucks does. I guess it's straight forward if you understand German or if you expect it. Not meeting either of these I enquired about hot food and was told no, you can't in answer to can I have these two or yes to the potato mushroom bake. The situation was a little vague/ unclear to me. When I was given the hot food I was told there's salad and this was the last I heard. I don't expect to be served in complete English when I'm not in an English speaking country but I don't think this was the issue. It turned out later that they could communicate in English fine but were just a bit offhand I guess. When I returned later to enquire after something lost they weren't very helpful either. Nevertheless when it turned out I had made a mistake with taking my food they were friendly enough about it. The hot food is €4.50 and it turns out that the salad you take is weighed at the till where you pay for everything beforehand. I don't know what the rate for the salad is as I missed the weighing step out. They charged me €6 altogether in the end which unbeknownst to them was a veritable bargain considering how high I piled my plate (I ate it all). The hot food was just okay value- it was mostly potatoes- how expensive can that be? Unless the rate for the salad bar is astronomical though I think it is probably decent value for it. Note:the taps in their toilets are sensor taps- this is an excellent thing. They need to be installed in all toilets to beat the bacteria loop."

I ate at Einhorn Imbiss at Wittenbergplatz 5-6 (near KaDeWe) and it's a good place to have a salad bouffet. Some warm dishes available.

I work nearby and tried vegetarian dishes several times despite the high prices, I was always disappointed and frustrated. The food was fade, dry and once bitter. The shares are not proportional to the price, unfortunately no more option for me. Ver carta

During my stay in Berlin I went to this restaurant twice. It is only open until 18:00, so more of a breakfast/lunch place. You can walk pass the buffet en choose what you like. When you go pay they weigh the food and the weight is what you pay. Everything is freshmade and sometimes changes per day. there is a hot and a cold buffet section. You can sit in or outside. When you sit outside you have a great view on the wittenbergplatz.

I was disappointed to find this place at last, just to find that it was closed I was there at 5pm (I went the wrong way on kufürstendamm and was too late.) but I wanted to give some views for tourist. if they plan to go to kufrstendamm (aka ku’damm), this is likely where to eat lunch. it is conveniently located just outside of kufürstendamm and is quite easy to find, just make sure they call to see if they are first opened! 3 kits for the comfortable location (it also looked really nice.)

Great food, a LOT of sallad choises, small prices... We got there a half an hour before closing times and they had only three meals left (an indicator of their quality) we took two of them and both were excellent. The salads were great too. You can just cram your plate with any salad combination you want and for the price you just weigh your salad plate on a scale simply great! The seating is not very cosy most tables are for standing, with some high chairs. Not a place for spending a lot of time in, rather an eat-and-go place. If you're tired, choose another restaurant or eat at this one and go to a cafe. Ver carta

in the good days this was earlier 100% vegetarian and the standard of the buffet was decent with a very diverse choice and reasonable vegan options. the price was quite high and the turnover of the customers was the same. it is very popular among workers on the midday and probably buyers who want to be a little cheaper than the expensive ka de we food hall above the road. since serving meat, vegetarian options are still quite good, but now there is simply no need to go there based on the number of 100% vegetarian farms in the city. a good choice if they happen to be in the opposite, work there or don't want to pay the extorted prices in ka de we or kudamm. they now seem to focus more on thei...

This is a very good option for people whose German is so poor that they cannot manage to spit out Ich bin Vegetarier without embarrassing themselves. You just pile up a plate, pay, sit, and eat. It is comparable to a Whole Foods salad bar, but with real, breakable ceramic plates. There were maybe 10 to 15 dishes on offer. Room-temperature grain- and legume-based salads were abundant; hot, main dish-type constructions were not.
