"We chose The ENGLE as the restaurant to enjoy on our last evening in Bremen and it was a very fine choice! Located inside an old pharmacy building, the restaurant's quaint atmosphere added to its great ambiance. The backdrop of pharmaceutical drawers and shelving added a great visual appeal to the restaurant. We were initially seated inside where we had plenty of time to take in the visual appeal. If you don't step inside for at least a few minutes, you'll surely miss out on this great atmosphere. When an outdoor table became available, we were kindly seated outside with the waiter appearing to not be bothered at all at reseating us. Everyone was attentive and we didn't feel rushed even though it does take us longer to choose items from the menu since we don't speak German. The food was amazing!!! We tried three different entrees and beverages. Each one was fantastic. First, the Chile Spaghetti was definitely spicy enough to mention it, but it wasn't overly spicy. There were just the right amounts of zucchini, caramelized onions, and bacon mixed with the spaghetti that everything blended well together without anything overpowering the other. Second, we had the Penne with Pesto. This was seasoned very well with cubes of feta on top. The ratios of each part of this dish were also to perfection!Third, we had the Flammkuchen Venetian. This has tomato, mozzarella, Hollandaise sauce, and pesto. It's worth repeating that, again in this dish, all of the ingredients were very nicely appointed and perfect!Dinner at The Engle was a perfect way end our most delightful trip. We had such a lovely evening leisurely visiting about the many great experiences we've had during our week in Germany. If we ever have the pleasure of returning to Bremen, we will definitely plan to return to the Engle as well."
