"There is nothing wrong about this restaurant but it is also nothing special for the price range. Places like Eneko have menus at similar value and the food is exceptional, whereas the food in Quantus was not flawless. I was the “lucky one” since I seemed to order the best dishes in the menu: the sweetbreads, the grilled octupus and the nut cake. My husband ordered the Heirloom tomatoes salad and the tomatoes were tasteless. The chimichurri steak was ok, but far from the best. The same could be said from the crab cakes. The worse thing however were the deserts. My husband ordered a panna cotta which almost needed a knife to be eaten, and my friend ordered a chocolate mouse that had an off smell (we all noticed) and hence did not eat it. In addition when we arrived the restaurant was full but nobody had been served which resulted in us having to wait very long for the food. The service was very pleasant though and the octupus and nut cake were very good"

"Flew all the way from Boston today on the red eye to visit Chiswick and the Parle Pantry, a delightful vegan coffee and pastry spot, and it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. The coffee here is exceptional – rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. I tried their flat white with oat milk, and it was one of the best I've ever had. The pastries are a revelation; each one is a masterpiece of vegan baking. The chocolate croissant was flaky and indulgent, and the lemon poppy seed muffin was light, moist, and bursting with flavor. Had the porridge three times for breakfast after my 10k runs. Perfect fuel filled! Wish I could make at home in Boston. The variety is impressive, catering to all tastes with gluten-free options as well. The attention to detail and the quality of ingredients truly shine through in every bite. Whether you're a vegan or not, Parle Pantry is a must-visit. It's the perfect spot for a cozy coffee date or a quick treat. I can't wait to return and try more of their delectable offerings!"

"Went to Myrtle with our son to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Simply spectacular, from the moment we walked into the restaurant the service was above and beyond. Daniel and all the staff are to be commended. We chose the Irish experience menu with wine. Every course was a culinary delight, with Daniel explaining the origins of the dishes and the accompanying wines. This was a one off celebration and although, for us, it was expensive, it was worth every penny. The only down side was that the promised birthday plate at the end of the meal failed to materialise. The best meal my wife, son and I have ever had."

"My daughter and I went to Wild Thyme to celebrate my birthday on Thursday. I thought the service was great and the young man very helpful. The food was lovely and we really enjoyed it. The ambience was good with little candles on each table. My only two suggestions would be to make the portion sizes a little bigger. I ordered the Cauliflower Bowl which was very yummy and the Prawns but as there were only three prawns in a portion I had to order a second portion as I was still hungry after both dishes. Also I would add some cocktail choices and some mocktails to the menu. Overall I thought the place lovely and I would definitely go again."

"Prior to dinner, we were invited to Bar 45, by a “member,” and had a wonder pre-dinner wine experience. The Bar is elegant, and understated, with rather limited seating, in the bar area. We were seated at one of the bistro tables, beside the smallish bar. The décor is attractive, and a bit like a modern take on a “gentlemen’s club,” with a lot of more contemporary straight lines. It seems geared more to private functions, but does offer an abbreviated bar menu, “Rough CUTs” from the Wolfgang Puck CUT on-property. We were there only for the wines, so did not get to sample any of the food items. With two glasses of the Jean-Louis Chavy, Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru “Les Champs Gains”’14, a glass of Drappier, “Signature”, Blanc de Blancs NV Champagne, and a Ginger Beer on ice, in front of us, we found that the noise level was quite low, and some pre-dinner business could be easily conducted. The surfaces of the room appeared to absorb the noise from the other patrons very well, though it probably helped that most were speaking in rather hushed tones. The room just seems to make that appropriate. Our service was friendly, and efficient. Though probably geared more to cocktails, I was impressed by the wine list. As I found on almost the entirety of this visit, many more wine lists in London are adding some excellent USA wines. This has been both a change, and a surprise from most of our visits. Bar 45 was a prime example of this, with many very good, to excellent USA producers, even in the B-T-G selections, and then on their “bargain” list, called “CUT’s 60 Under 60,” with bottles at, or below £60 – a very nice touch. Over the years, our UK board members ask why I never order USA wines, and until now, my comment was always along the lines of “the USA wines, that find their way to London, are not ones, which I would serve, or drink. Also, the prices are far too high. I will serve USA wines, when we have you to my country, for the board meeting.” Well, the times, they are a changing, and Bar 45 is a prime example of how much. We will return, and maybe even explore those USA wines, but only for my UK board members, as I get those at “home,” but cannot get such lovely Montrachets there. We also want to return for the bar menu too."
