Food OK, drinks?. The beer is very badly kept. We've been a few times because it is local to us, but the beer was always poor. The meal we had was OK, nicely spiced, but check your bill as we were charged for more drinks than we had.

The entrance via the public bar a little tired a bit like decor in Resteraunt The food was good with a varied menu helpful staff. However be careful the cost of drinks is quite high bottle of cobra £5,50 wine £4.50 a glass but not evident on menu.

Food was Ok Service was excellent Expensive for what they have to offer the not exactly value for money The little manager treated us like pound signs rather than customers nervous pushy chavy over selling rude towards customers and staff members including the two girls in the bar

We ordered takeout for delivery to Southam and it arrived promptly and piping hot. I started with the delicious Sheek kebabs and then enjoyed the Chicken Chilli Massala, garlic rice, and garlic cheese naan. It was all very tasty. It had been a while since we last tried Essence of India, but we will definitely be ordering from them regularly now.

Twins 18th Celebration. We have just celebrated our twins 18th birthday at the, Black Horse Pub and the Essence of India. Fantastic welcoming atmosphere, the bar staff were great, the waiter could not do enough for us, loads of tasty well cooked food. Over all, high quality food and service with a warm loving atmosphere. Thank you all very much.

great small country pub. I recently visited this pub with my family for a birthday meal. I was delighted with the warm welcome of the staff. we were shown in our table in the restaurant what I thought it was very nice for our Indian meal. waiter couldn't do enough for us and we thought how polite and well proven they were all. eating was from this world and would recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Indian food. they treated my little boy on ice and gave it to us on the house that I thought was beautiful and made my little young at night. thanks to all at the essence of india delia

fab food. I and a group of mates had eaten on the other day in the essence of indies, and eating was spectacular. we had tears with lambs, which is somewhat cool, but amazing. for dessert we had honey naan,' which is sweet, and my friend lucy had a kokoskuchen that had like a brownie on the floor, warmed up in chocolate sauce. essence of india. my family and I were now twice in essence of india. and yes, we want back. the staff are very friendly and make them welcome. that is not a restaurant where they are just one more. here you are a friend. eating is absolutely beautiful, we have no complaints. children of all age groups are welcome (ours are 2 years and 24 months.) there are plenty of parking and a welcoming bar/reception zone to relax before and after the meal. this side is more like a pub. pool table (no oiks effing and dazzling) pushes a fertilizer and a tw. this area has a beautiful, comfortable seating opportunity. the restaurant is divided by a wall in which it...read more

Best around, Dont Delay !. Out of town,so parking was easy and plenty of room. There is even a complimentary taxis service available for those within 8-miles. The bar is a traditional English pub with a good real ale Rocks' Doombar on the night) it was well kept and pleasantly served by the local barmaid. The short walk into the restaurant is a surprise with a big change of atmosphere, we entered a well appointed room with good modern furniture and furnishings.
