"Made a late booking for the Sunday roast spoke to the lovely Wendy the manager, over the phone she done everything she could to accommodate myself and partner. What a lovely warm welcome we got. We were welcomed like old friends. The food was amazing home cooked hot food. It felt like going to someone’s house for Christmas Day. Can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. The service was spot on, the staff lovely and welcoming and the atmosphere was relaxed and spotlessly clean. The prices were reasonable. We enjoyed a lovely beef roast with all the trimming including extra gravy, follows by aunties homemade pavlova. I don’t normally leave reviews, but felt I had to after visiting this gem of a place. Which I found via trip advisor so thought only fair for me to also report back after my Visit. If your near or staying in Southend and don’t visit this restaurant your be sorry. "I chose 1 serving of picanha £14.95 very poor service but fries came to the table and 1 serving of Alentejo pork only 3 clams had the insides the rest were shells £14.95 I won't go back to this restaurant one of the worst restaurants I've visited in 8 years living in the UK."

"My first visit but not my last... pictured are the deliciously light, non greasy, tasty onion bhajis to follow, I had coriander chicken, lemon rice and porotta... I dove straight in and was so delighted with my choices that I forgot to take a photo... we had a spinach and coconut dish to accompany it that paired well with my chicken, everything felt home cooked fresh to order... I couldn't fault it and would highly recommend... was delighted to see carrot halwa on the dessert menu but was too full to try it this time round... it's a must next time as I have a feeling it won't disappoint!!"

"This was our first visit and we will be back. There are so many dishes we want to try. The food is fantastic, full of flavour, beautifully presented. The Tempura Prawns were beautiful, cooked perfectly with a crunchy batter coating. Thai Green Curry was very traditional with a nice balance of spice and flavour. Stir Fry was flavoursome and a good mix of chicken and vegetables. It was a very busy night with lots of delivery drivers collecting orders this is good as it shows how popular the restaurant is, but service in the restaurant was affected. It didn’t spoil our evening though."

"Me and my friend went for dinner last Monday,the waiter was so far not interested to do his job,or he might not know how to do it,He just damp my cuttleries on the table when there was a table napkin for this purpose.We both had prawns as a main and garlic bread which was amazing, and cannolo so called siciliano(but only the shape would remind you of that) which was soggy an tasteless,and trust me I know what I'm saying about cannolo being sicilian.Later my husband join us and he ordered spaghetti carbonara which was made with bacon,no black pepper....and again his cuttleries was damped on the table without even being wiped after we had dinner and was some sauces .When we asked for the bill they told me they can't give me a printed bill,just an old fashioned hand written bill on 2024.I gave the 3 stars o ly for the amazing prawns and garlic bread taste,nothing else."
