I visited the stall at the Markthalle and got some pork/beef Maultaschen. They were very good: high quality meat, skin had a nice texture, and the seasoning was just right. They still weren't as good as my favorite Maultaschen from a stand that's no longer open, but I would definitely return to Failenschmid again the next time I'm in town. Ver carta

On a cool and rainy weekend excursion to see a castle, we got hungry. As we passed through this town, we saw this cute little place. At first, I thought we had found only a meat market, but then I realized the restaurant was through the beautifully carved door! We entered to a warm welcome and were seated at the round table in the corner surrounded by beautifully carved wood paneling. The menu was simple to follow, and the waitress was kind, helpful, and attentive. The food was excellent. They cooked my steak perfectly with fantastic seasoning. My wife's salad was tasty.
