"I ordered a oat milk cappuccino which was nice. Drinking out of a plastic cup did throw me off slightly at first. I also got the vegan breakfast. It's looks pretty but was a bit dry for my taste. There wasn't real enough sauce with the beans and the toast wasn't buttered. (I was also slightly confused by the hummus? . It was good quality ingredients just not to my taste. I would go again but order something different. If sitting in a draft bothers it isn't for you I ended up sitting with my coat on as it was quite cold."

Lovely little cafe, had a tasty lunch with a friend. Very cheerful service and food is freshly cooked. Was very warm inside and only 1 toilet which is down a flight of stairs

I have as craving Turkish eggs ... They did not disappoint! My latte was also delicious with great cups pictured is the full breakfast and the basic Turkish eggs. Great for coffee too- loads of options (and decaf and vegan available) Ver carta

We ordered the blueberry pancakes and granola bowl. They were nice but were a bit overpriced considering the quantity of food. We also ordered two ice coffees, which came to £17.50. The food was nice but nothing out of ordinary for the prices.

A lovely spot between Piccadilly station and the main shopping area... a perfect stop off. We enjoyed the delicious carrot and walnut cake (I'd go back any day just for that! and some tea. It was nice to have loose tea and it was all really well presented. Looking forward to going back next time we're in Manchester!

Came here in the early morning to work. The WiFi was fast and the coffee was good. This is a small spot and they don't want you to use your laptop in the front of the shop. In the back of the shop they have plenty of outlets and you can feel free to use them. I didn't get any food but they have a small assortment of pastries. Place is cute. Ver carta

Nice place, good coffee. They serve coffee in recycled cups which are better than paper cups! The only thing is that it's a bit small and it can feel noisy when full. Music a bit too loud too so not ideal for me to stay longer, read, etc. Also, tables are quite close to each other and one can easily feel self-conscious. Been more than once, feels cosy in the winter : Clean toilet too

Very poor experience. The cafe was badly ventilated and sweltering hot. The staff were unable to tell us what was available and had to go back and forth from the kitchen, only to tell us that two of the three total vegan options were unavailable. We waited over 30 minutes for THIS. It was dry, tasteless and definitely not worth the money. Would not recommend visiting here money better spent elsewhere.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."
