"Ate here a few months ago on a Saturday night and was very impressed with the food and service. Unfortunately it seems to have gone progressively downhill on each visit (3 in total) since then. Today’s was particularly disappointing. The place badly needs a deep clean-the floor and surfaces were covered in crumbs and there were 3 dying wasps on the window ledge. The glasses had dirty marks and my plate had a white hair on it. Food was generally mediocre and the tomato soup wasn’t edible. Staff inattentive too and seem very young. Sadly won’t be returning."

absolutely shocking, blatantly rude and no manners! Soliloquy definitely not go back and do not recommend to anyone.

Stopped off for a quick bite while visiting the island. Plenty of choice for a veggie, staff were all nice and accommodating. The dog was very welcome. Would definitely return.

Lovely carrot cake and nicest coffee I've had in ages. Not sure why loud music was being broadcast outside in a cafe. For us it spoiled our enjoyment of the beautiful and peaceful view.

Fantastic brunch at Fintry. I’m Coeliac so can’t eat gluten and they prepared me an awesome breakfast all Gluten Free! Great service, ambience and produce. Can’t recommend highly enough.

This had one of the best full Breakfasts I'd had. The bacon was well cooked. I eat the whole dish and loved everything in the meal. There were binoculars, which you can have a splendid view. On the front you can order milkshakes

Utterly disgraceful, dirty, litter-ridden and therefore multiple wasps around the unemployed bins, surely staff , such a shame as used to be a great stopping place years ago. Do yourself a favour, take a picnic and avoid this place like the plague !

Stopped off there when cycling around the island. Young girl with dyed black hair was unbelievably rude. Type of person who enjoys being nasty to people. Put a damper on an enjoyable excursion. Millport is a brilliant little place, just don't visit here.

Had to ask after waiting a while if we were to seat ourselves or wait. Got a table. Waited far too long for the order to be taken by a rude and bored member of staff. After waiting nearly half an hour for a burger and soup, without even drinks on our table when asked how much longer it will be, to be told the ticket did not print out so we would have to wait even longer. The establishment is lovely and the views incredible. Not any good though if the service is diabolical.

Visited yesterday with two young children. Had coffee and ice cream and planned to sit outside. Unfortunately there were swarms of wasps, which made this impossible. We asked to sit inside until the children finished their ice cream and we were met with rude staff. Although a few wasps are expected when sitting outside, there are hundreds of them all around the bins and sheltered seating area. Overall an unpleasant experience and worth holding on until you get to the ritz for ice cream and coffee!

"Magic sea. we went about 6 months ago after fins had threatened for years. that was worth waiting for us to arrive a little early before they had changed the prices on the boards, that was lucky because they had the decision to offer us the meal times at the price at the arrival, result. to every way back to the foods that the woman had the scalopps and black pudding and I had the langoustines. I was a little confused by the cutlery laid in front of me, pliers and a funny fork, but it was good when I asked the waitress what I should do with it and she showed me pretty happy. the scallops were amazing and it was that really beautiful black pudding so a great start for them. what had done me well, I had never eaten longoustine before, but I had to go right in and it was a great experience and the taste was just beautiful. large mmmm in our bauch. the most important courses were turbot for me and the missus chose the sea bass. the food was beautifully presented and it was smaller that I thought it was, but I had never eaten somewhere in that posh before. Anyway, both can have beautiful vegien and we both came into them and we were not dissappointed it was perfectly cooked. the turbot was the softest spruce I've ever had and the taste was amazing. the sea bass came with I think noodles and she loved it. everything was beautiful and relaxed and none of the unem emphasized that you sometimes find when you can be a little bit on yourself in the leading restaurants, but here it was not at all. about all this was a nice place to eat, a wee bit expensive but they get great service and beautiful environment. dylan"
