Beautifully decorated inside, really friendly staff and the quality of the food was amazing.... shiny plates all round. Would highly recommend a visit

Stayed here on our way to Edinburgh...very friendly staff and owners nothing too much trouble...clean basic room which met all our needs...tv was a little small but that’s a minor thing...good breakfast and ample parking

The last comment was 2017... We've been there in july 2019. The burger petty was burned and mac&cheese tasted like a... I really don't know. 4,5 stars is ages far from the reality. 1 star for the really friendly people who work over there. Ver carta

I visited this restaurant for the first time on July 29th, 2021 and I was definitely not disappointed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy with a nautical theme, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I hope to visit again soon.

We have been to this restaurant a few times since Euan took over and have always loved our meals. The food is freshly made and tasty, with a good variety to choose from. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is welcoming. The new decor is beautiful, and we plan to visit frequently.

We stayed nearby for three nights and stopped by this restaurant every day for drinks or a meal. The owner, Euan, immediately made us feel like friends and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. The fish and chips were the best we've ever tasted. Thank you for the lemons, Euan! Local to us and went up for a meal last night. First time in a good while, not entirely due to Covid restrictions. Happy to see it looking lovely and clean as well as festive and welcoming. Hadn't realised the offered a Christmas menu and would have saved my appetite to partake had I known! As it stands, we both had different curries and were very happy with what we had: looking forward to more normal times and more extensive menu choices, but we were far from disappointed with what was on offer and what we had. Clean, modern, warm, well appointed room. Kettle, tea and coffee, hairdryer, iron, TV, comfortable beds, great shower pressure and toiletries provided. Room had a double and single bed,with plenty room to move around, immaculate bedding and towels provided. Excellent breakfast. Really friendly owner, nothing was too much trouble. Despite Covid restrictions, locals were really friendly, supporting their local pub, adhering to restrictions, drink outside, wearing masks, social distancing etc. They were also very welcoming and gave great advice on local walks and places of interest. Burnmouth village is a beautiful piece of coast. This will definitely be a regular stop on our journeys down sout...

We drove up from across the border from England to sample the breakfasts and weren't disapointed. You can choose from the full English or full Scottish. The 3 of us went for the latter and were happy with the Lorne (square! sausage, haggis and tattie scone alongside the bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes. There was also toast and preserves and it nicely set us up for the day. The food was cooked freshly by the very friendly owner. The rest of the menu looks great too, I'll be back to sample the horseshoe gammon. My husband has his eye on an afternoon tea sometime too. The pub has been recently renovated to a very high standard. It's fresh and airy but hasn't lost the character as the old ph... Ver carta
