If you're looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant in Germany this is definitely as close as you're going to get!! Incredible drinks!! Great food and a busy non stop atmosphere. I strongly suggest you make reservations!! We sat at the bar over an hour until...a waitress finally took pity on us!! It was worth the wait!! It's our new ladies night once a month! Enjoy!

They play some seriously great salsa and latin music in this restaurant. The atmosphere is great kind of summery/beachy with a winter garden to sit outside even when it's cold. The food is amazing, I have never had a bad meal here. The price is...dlightly higher than most places but well worth it especially as the serving sizes are huge! Not as blown away with their Margarita's as with the food but not bad either. I love coming here

Nice, cosy, a bit worn, but not in a bad way.The food was outstanding, tender and tasty ribs, rarely seen outside the States. I've been to Joe Pena's twice and both times I have been disappointed...but I guess that's because I'm from California and was expecting Mexican food which this isn't. If I didn't come with that expectation, I think it would have been okay. I had the...taquitos (which were actually flautas) and the tamales which were the strangest things I've ever seen (corn husks filled with chicken and vegetables...but no actual tamale The food is good, but expensive. The drinks are quite strong and my strawberry margarita was more pure tequila than margarita. If that's your thing, then you'll love Joe Pena's.

Honestly, this is always my first choice when we want to go out for dinner: Nice Mexican atmosphere, extremely friendly service, good cocktails and absolutely delicious food. Try a Gin Fizz and Whiskey Sour and share some Chips'n'Dips and get some sizzling Fajitas as main...menu you hardly can get any better (Mexican) food in town. By the way, there are nice salads and steaks, too... When you love Mexican food this is definitely the very best place to go. Some restaurants think reheating in the microwave and putting loads of cheese on it makes good Mexican food. But at Joe Pena's it's always fresh and yummie!!!! Ver carta

We went with a group on a very busy summer evening. We had an outside table which was great but we pretty much had to fight to get any attention from wait staff the whole evening. The drinks took a while, the food took even...longer and when it finally did arrive, was pretty disappointing. One person at our table ordered a dish that came with bread but once the dish was served, had to wait almost half an hour for the bread to arrive. It wouldn't have been that bad if the food actually tasted good, but it just didn't. This is nothing like real Mexican food. I think this place draws a crowd more because of their attractive, happy hour cocktail pricing rather than anything else.

At Joe Pena's they have very tasty food, really top. There is nothing wrong with it. Everything that was on the menu of the day looked very good too. The beer garden is very nice and also quiet. Here you can have a good time....The Coktails which are on offer are also very tasty. The waiting times were relatively short. Even without a reservation we got a place in the beer garden after o'clock. This is also because it is very large. Parking places are to enough available. There is a star deduction only because in the end the service was really unfriendly. We gave a tip and they did not thank us but only put it in their pocket and left quietly and quickly. Unfortunately this was very unfriend...

My husband and I went here with some friends. My husband just had a total knee replacement including the Tibia bone and had broken most of the bones in his body during an accident. This was one of his first visits out in nearly I explained this to the manager and asked if we could have ONE comfortable chair from inside. His response was a curt NO the chair would get ruined,and walked away before we could order. It was gorgeous weather no rain. Not sure how my husband planned on ruining the chair. We waited quite a long time for basic nachos and rattler beers. It's not rocket science. They forgot part of our order as well.
