Fishermans Rest Lymington

Having had many enjoyable meals at Fullers pubs this was very disappointing and not up to their usual standards. Our complaints were met with hostility by the pub manager. Would not recommend!

we have let ourselves eat in the mai halfway. very friendly and we had a nice meal. the Steak-Ale-Pie was unforgettable. an additional beer on the tap would be good, but a great pub anyway. will be back. graham

A warm welcome received. Very attentive and organised. Lovely comfortable relaxing surroundings. Every dish we ordered was well cook/presented and very tasty. We loved it very much so re-booked for another evening. Thankyou.

A pub focussed on food and what is serves up is great food with lots of daily fish specials. I had the hake fillets with Bombay potatoes and bahjees and it was delicious. Must book if want to eat inside but has a nice garden...as well. All in all a great place to eat.

We were lucky to spend 18 months in Lymington and this was our favourite restaurant for seafood and drinks. They always had fish of the day but we would highly recommend to try sole. Just delicious. My favourite place to eat in Lymington. During high...season I recommend to book a table.

the beer was good, but eating was very disappointing. crab was the smallest thing I ever served and the skate wing special was probably a third of a wing. all parts were small. this place had the feeling that some had cleverly showed them how...maximumize profits they will do at short notice, but customers will choose with their feet. I will not go back

we met friends for a drink I wasn't in this pub before and on a cool juni evening we wanted to sit inside. but they said that the tables were only for diners. we sat in a pleasant garden, until a table in the interior is available for us to enjoy a second dirt. then I went to the lady bath. oh, my gott. what a chaos! slippery wet floor, no toilet paper and generally unpleasant. why is it tricky that the trade with foods and drinks have no decent toilets.

this was a pleasant moment on a warm spring day with close family. the food was excellent; you can often judge a dish of salat, and the salat was fresh and healthy, not especially inventive, but you can not have everything. the seafoods were...excellent: large plates of sole and crab, and the appetizers were a good size. the young workers were welcoming and attentive and disgusting of the top. the owners are wonderful in different ways. we were there when mrs. owner was in service. it is refreshingly blunt as we agreed on our table, it would have succeeded as a sergeant major in the grenadier guards and has buried a friendly heart deeply in itself; not be put down, but note that they do not...

My mate and I met at the pub for a quiet lunchtime beer and chat..it was great to see him as we had not seen each other for years and need to catch up on news... All we got was pressure and hassle from the...staff. We had our beers..two minutes later one staff member arrived asking if we needed more drinks??..No thank you...Two minutes later another staff member arrived..You gents ok??..Can I get you more drinks??....Our beer was barely touched..No thank you we are fine.. Two minutes later another staff member arrived ...Can I get you more drinks?? Then a young man arrived..Are you gents dining with us??.. we had not planned to eat, just have a beer .. Do you have sandwiches??...No we don't...
