Lovely old independent pub,good beer and polite staff. Enormous garden as well as seating at the rear. Unfortunately we did not eat ,however plenty were and food looked good.

Missed ferry due to puncture en route. What a find this was. From the lovely welcome from the very pretty Natalie to the superb lunch of fish and chips couldn’t fault it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Ver carta

What a fantastic little pub! The atmosphere is delightful, and the staff are incredibly friendly. The cost per person is very reasonable, ranging from £10 to £20. I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service a solid 5, and the atmosphere also a 5. Highly recommend!

eating was great, steak very tender and perfectly cooked, my man burger was very nice and my son had a large child portion of fish and chips. and happy to see the quality of the food in the children's menu Aswel continuing. personal very friendly and friendly we really enjoyed it. will come back for more!

We enjoyed lunch at The Flying Fish. The food was excellent, especially the Ploughman's. My husband was disappointed that the guest ale was off and there were no other Shepherd Neame ales on draught, only bottles. Other than that, it was a good visit. Wow! What a pub. Really welcoming, when we arrived by Lexi, who was running the bar, she greeted us like she had known us for ever! The food is amazing and everything was fresh produce and freshly cooked. The sharing platters are phenomenonal and the chips were real chips and very tasty. We won't hesitate to return the next time we catch a ferry from Newhave

What a cute little pub tucked away. Looks so pretty from the outside and is sooo cosy on the inside!! Nice little old cottage. 1 side of the bar is like oldy worldy and then when you go sit in the back area has a Modern feel. We didn't book a table in advance and we walked in and there was a table available. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is so nice in there too Our food was just incredible and comes out looking amazing on the slate tiles Will definitely be back!! Thank you!!

I visited this lovely local restaurant last night, and I believe every city should have one just like it. We received a warm welcome and found a diverse mix of friendly customers. The food was outstanding! I couldn’t help but notice the venison ragu, which indicated a truly enthusiastic kitchen. The ragu was exceptional, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish and chips. We finished off our meal with a delicious treacle tart and ice cream. It’s hard to believe such a fantastic place exists; we just wish we lived closer! Ver carta
