The food was absolutely fantastic! Service was excellent, staff were really friendly. Came here for my birthday and we will definitely be returning.

This visit was a real surprise! Many years since I have been here, so wasn’t sure what to expect, but the decor, food and service were excellent. As friends, we visit other Asian restaurants in the area, but this was the best food we have eaten for some time! Would recommend.

Good food but the place totally lacks atmosphere. I would have liked to have had something that reminded me of India like a bit of wall art or some music but nothing. There was nothing, just a plain clean restaurant with good service. If you want good tasty food its good, if you would like to atmosphere of India then no.

I dont normally leave reviews, but I was just online to get the phone number to book for tomorrow night for my sons birthday. We usually go to the Jewel in the Crown in Bury, but in September we tried Forts for a change and the food was great. Service was good too. Am looking forward to tomorrow nights meal, and hopefully it will be another 5 star review.

It’s pricey for an Indian and its location. £5 for popadom and chutney. The chutney was very nice but popadoms too flimsy, broken into tiny pieces on touching them. I had mixed kebab starter which to be fair was fantastic. Main I had lamb bhuna and it was tasteless, no flavour so bland very disappointing. Rice is expensive too and £4.50 for a garlic Nan which was small and average at best. I won’t be returning or recommending

Appalling service from start to finish, was a friends birthday and was a complete disaster! used to be a family local but Definitely gone down hill! Waiter rolled his eyes as we weren’t ordering meat and told us we had to order meat with our curry sauces made to change our order (all to suit their pockets). I’m sorry but isn’t this our right to choose?! FURIOUS Miserable rude waiters! Greasy food! Overcharged! Despicable customer service! Do not waste your money, AVOID BlueBay down the road is much nicer and the waiters look like they want to be there! Friendly and nothing is too much!

We visited another location next to this one and parked behind the set of buildings for 45 minutes, not realising that the park was only for customers of Forts of India. The car park was almost empty. We've since received a letter detailing a fine of £60 for parking there without permission. We had been planning to return to the area and visit this establishment next, and called them to explain the mistake and ask if anything could be done with that in consideration. The manager stated that parking is handled by another company and they would do nothing about it. I can understand taking steps to ensure only your customers are using your car park. Me and my partner go every week without fail, my partner recommended this place to me when we first got together. So I said hey ho let’s give it a go. I find it hard to find a decent curry place and let me tell you when I stepped into that restaurant and my food was placed infront of me wowww just wowww my tastebuds were tingling I’ve never had a curry so beautiful and flavourful in my entire life. Yes some people may that they are over priced on some things but what do you expect from a good Indian! For the quality of the food the price is very reasonable and I have no problem paying this!
