Friendly, Fun, Kind, and the foods great, give them a chance my bet is you won't regret it. Collection obviously, but delivery through the normal apps and direct are available, deliveries arrive within the timeframe estimated by the staff.

We used to frequent this takeout restaurant often, but the quality has noticeably declined in our recent visits. Tonight, the chicken wings were so overcooked that they were inedible and fell apart. The ribs were almost as unappetizing. We are disappointed and will not be returning.

Having read the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. Firstly they got the order wrong. Despite repeating the order to me over the phone, we were one dish short. The pancake rolls were full to cabbage and very little else never had them like that before. Not nice. Other food was ok, but nothing special. Won't be going back. Ver carta

Delivery order placed nearly two hours ago and still waiting and their line is now constantly engaged. We are regular customers and always tip the delivery driver but due to missing items, food not being as per description and late delivery we will no longer give this place our custom…….if yiu can’t handle the business DONT take the order.

I have never been a fan of Chinese takeaways in Chelmsford as I have never had a good one and I don't think the food travels well, but oh my goodness, the takeaway I had tonight was amazing. I had never ordered from here before, only when it was called Ho Ho's, which had fabulous food. This was just as delicious, and I really enjoyed it. The ingredients were all fresh and tasty, and I am quite picky. I will definitely be ordering from here again soon.

Been getting collection takeaways from Fortune House for 15+ years. Not that long ago that we had a new menu with price increases. Now prices have gone up again but the last straw for us is they have now also stopped offering 10% discount on collection orders. Combined effect of new pricing is about £4.80 on a meal for four or another dish. Very sorry to say we will not be returning and will find another takeaway with collection discount. No way to reward loyal customers. Ver carta

Had a takeaway from here at the weekend and it was really good. We phoned the order in at 19:20 Saturday evening and was told it would be 10 to 15 minutes, we arrived about 12 minutes later and the meal was ready. We had Mongolian Crispy Lamb, Salt Pepper Spare Ribs, Pancake roll, Chicken in Garlic sauce, Special chow mien Special chop Suey. Every thing was piping hot and good perfectly. The staff were very pleasant, ordering and paying very easy and we had an excellent take away. Will definitely use again when in the area.

My Mum came over to visit and we ordered from the closest Chinese which happened to be Fortune House. Probably the BEST Chinese take out I have had! Had chow mien, spring rolls, egg rice, black bean sauce and of course, shredded duck and 6 pancakes. Got loads of everything. Used the rest of the duck as a side dish to our beef chow mien and could not finish all of it. The spring rolls are delicious! Huge! We share one between us and I kept the second for the next day hahaha Deliver was very quick and the delivery lady was really polite. Can't recommend this enough! Ordering again tonight and having a vegetarian dishes as there is such a wide selection. THUMBS UP!

I don't even know where to begin with this restaurant experience. Firstly, my order was completely wrong. When I tried to call the restaurant, there was no answer and no answering service. The chow mein I ordered turned out to be just slimy chicken chow mein. The spring roll had mold growing on it, indicating that it was old and reheated. The temperature discrepancies within the meal were alarming, with scalding hot ends and a frozen middle. To top it off, I received a pot of vinegar with an onion in it as an extra, which was beyond bizarre for a Chinese takeout. I mistakenly thought it was plum sauce and poured it over my noodles, leading to me being sick all night after only consuming two... Ver carta
