Fortune Inn Pub Chinese

Went for a birthday meal, was fantastic, calming atmosphere, pleasant staff, friendly helpful. The food portions were very generous, was delicious, and beautifully presented. Will defiantly be going back, and ordering take away. Price was very good.

Visited recently for the first time in a few years. We ordered the set meal for two, which was lovely and more than enough for 2 adults and a 5 year old we actually ended up boxing up the last course and taking it home for the next day as we were too full! Waiter was very friendly too!

Me and a couple of friends came for dinner at the fortune inn and the food was amazing we my favourite was the sizzling king prawn with ginger and the beef in good mother chilli sauce. The food was fast looked lovely and the waiting staff where were very efficient I would 100% recommend!! Ver carta

The Chinese food at Fortune Inn is delicious, but the prices are too high. I will not be dining here again, as it is 40% more expensive than other Chinese restaurants in Chippenham. It feels like Fortune Inn is taking advantage of the financially struggling working class in the UK, laughing all the way to the bank.

in a city with limited vegetarian and vegan options, the menu inn impressed with how to dress and bean curd. duck was delicious. takeout (Covid style) came with free crackers, but we were told that they were definitiw vegetarian. they were also very well furnished to serve during the covid 19 with impressive protection for employees and customers.

We ordered takeout from this restaurant, which we typically do on Sundays. Unfortunately, for the past two weeks, we have ordered the special satay chow mein and received regular special chow mein instead. This mistake happened once, which was not ideal, but for it to happen two weeks in a row is very disappointing. The food quality is good, however, the special chow mein is bland. Ver carta

The service and the food were excellent here but it was so cold we nearly left. I saw an electric heater and asked the server to plug it in near us. He did and told us the manager said not to put the central heating on . The server was wearing a body warmer and was cold. There were 2 other couples in the restaurant who had left their coats on. It must be difficult for restaurants with the climbing fuel costs but people will not go to eat if it is too cold to be comfortable. We will not return until the spring time when we can sit and not shiver.

My friend and I visited for tea. We had duck spring rolls (huge) and spare ribs to start followed by a chicken curry and duck in plum sauce. We shared it all. Everything was deliveredin good time and the food was excellent. The duck in plum sauce was the star of the show. There was a selection of 5 beers. We had draught Stella. Very refreshing. We both finished off with an ice cream dessert. This was very good too, preprepared and straight from the freezer. Really it needed 10 mins to thaw a little before being eaten. The atmosphere was casual, relaxed and comfortable.

We were recommended to use The Fortune Inn by a friend and it was absolutely diabolical. We ordered £64’s worth of food consisting of: sweet and sour chicken balls/ God mother chicken/ shredded chilli chicken/ chicken curry/ chicken fried rice/ chips and some side items. Firstly, the sweet and sour source was like water, runny and tasteless! The chicken fried rice, was boiled and included egg within in it (hm!? I assumed having fried in the name would suggest it to be fried, not boiled! The god mother chicken included a range of vegetables and turned out to be in a black bean sauce instead.
