Simple delicious, anniversary celebration lunch, chowder and scampi our firm favourites both excellent.

We just love to stop here for tea and scones or traybakes. Staff are pleasant, efficient and friendly. It’s well run and a lovely place to eat in.

Roy and Diane were fantastic in helping us organise breakfast for everyone on the day of our daughter's wedding. The food was great and their service was fantastic. I don't write many reviews, but these guys were brilliant!

we arrived an hour early, young lady was very helpful and pleasant, she didn't tell us to care that they fit us. the place was dizzy, although it was not packed, there was a nice feeling for the place. we were ordered to a table and drinks. we saw the menu decided on eating and ordered starters came and had delicious mains arrived, they were also delicious and very full. the staff was very helpful, friendly and polite. the desert came for 1 it was beautiful. There was no hurry to get you out. franzosen was a recommendation for us and we would recommend it to everyone who enjoys good eating in a friendly environment at a very reasonable price. will be on our next trip.

this bistro is really an absolutely charming place. wonderful staff very friendly and dedicated. the owners paul and roy are really chatting and nothing is ever too much annoyed. my latte was perfect and very smooth to drink coffee. my breakfast selection consisted of laced avocado (many of them also) poched eggs with Hollandaise sauce, pesto and I chose the optional speck with it. I'm so glad I did it because it was super boiled and fat cut. all with a drizzle of balsam and water circles to complete it. the presentation was first class I had also served an orange juice in a beautiful glass, as I like it with ice cubes for extra chill. I don’t usually give reviews (bad or good) as I believe places can have there good and bad days. However on this occasion I feel like the restaurant really deserves a good word. Due to the restaurant's location I drive past it quite frequently and have always said that we must try there as it is always packed out. Well we eventually got round to trying it out on Wednesday morning for breakfast en route to the sheepdog trials and wow did it impress. My husband and I were invited to join a couple of our friends last Saturday at Frenchs, Clough. We arrived on time and we’re allocated a booth to the right side as we entered. Service was prompt and efficient we ordered our drinks and chose from the menu. 2 no.. fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce.
