"I was passing through and stopped by a Estate agent when I saw this chippy and decided to grab lunch. The lady working there was incredibly friendly and talkative when I walked in. I didn't have to wait long, and even though it was close to lunch time closing, the chips were amazing. They were thick, crispy on the outside, yet soft and delicious on the inside. If I end up moving up this way, I will definitely come back!"

Stopped off at this Chip shop has I had seen the reviews and was not disappointed the fish was gorgeous and the girlfriends Roe melted in the mouth also the doggies had no complaints with the sausages

Ordered Donner in naan and got half cooked naan and asked for ketchup and got chilli poor service. It’s normally nice but this time was shocking!!!! Fantastic kebabs and chips I stop in once a week mainly for my sons tea after I finish work. Tonight the NHS was appreciated and I was very grateful for mine and my sons dinner post work. I was given the meal as a token of appreciation for working for the NHS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH. It was delicious Always friendly and always have a smile for the public, No1 fish and chip shop in the local area. Highly recommend

"I believe in supporting small businesses, but I was disappointed with the experience at this restaurant. My daughter received a voucher for afternoon tea, but we realized it was only valid for 6 months. When we called to extend it, we were told that they were closed for 3 weeks of the month they offered for the extension. The response we received was that prices had gone up and they couldn't extend the voucher. I also bought a voucher for my sister-in-law, who asked for an extension and was denied. While the sandwiches were good, the rest of the food was not impressive. Despite the friendly staff, I will not be recommending this restaurant anymore to my brother's bed and breakfast. The 6-month gift voucher policy is inflexible and lacks grace."

"My partner and I came here for an evening meal when staying at the Baron at Bucknell. My partner called up first to book a table having found good reviews online. The lady on the phone was extremely helpful and provided directions perfectly as she explained the sat nav may take you a longer route. We followe her directions and got there within about 10 minutes. We were greeted as soon as we entered by customers waiting by the door and then the staff. Everyone was polite which was really welcoming as we were out of town. The decor is like an old style traditional pub and it had a really good feel about it. We initially ordered the T bone steak but they didn't have any so opted for our usual sirloin which was also recommended by the staff and we were not disappointed! Big being very big steak lovers we've been to many steakhouse's around the country and have to say this was possibly the best steak we've ever had. The garlic butter complimented it very well and we were not left disappointed that the T bone wasn't available! I highly recommend coming here if you are anywhere nearby."
