"A huge 'Thanks ' to Mikey, Jack and all the unseen heros at Fyne Fish N Chips. We had a sh*t day having to break 2 windows to get into a car which had both sets of keys locked inside it, and the AA were telling us to wait 5 hours to assist our recently widowed daughter and her two very young children (a 'priority ' shout) out of this dilema exaserbated by the AA. Stuck in the wilds of Argyleshire almost 4 hour drive from the safety of home. Without the AA 's assistance we managed to break into the car retreave the keys and be on our way. Exhausted after a near 8 hours of round trip driving we stopped in Inverary and thankfully stumbled into the Fyne Fish n Chip Shop where we were greated by the ever cheery Mikey and Jack. They were of great help and support in our hour of need in providing much needed sustainance in the form of delicious Chicken Pakora, Sausage Supper (2 humungous sausages), Curry Sauce and Chips, Haggis Supper (thumbs up defo from me) and Chicken Nuggets and Chips for the youngest of our quintet. Not only was the service and banter 'top shelf ' quality, but the food was all delicious. I know as I had some of everyones. Thanks guys, you 'll never really know how your warm welcome, your support, prompt service and great grub was to us all in our time of need. Cheers. We WILL be back sometime soon."

Me and my partner have travelled up from Preston and are staying in the local spa, we decided to try this chippy and it didn’t disappoint. The fish was cooked to perfection, the batter was great and the curry and gravy sauces were amazing. The curry sauce was mild and sweet which I prefer. The service of the two gentlemen was heart warming, very chatty and easy to talk too. Great service all around, when back in these parts of the woods we will be visiting again

Superb fish supper eaten in the shelter of the car as heavy rain clouds rolled in over Loch Fyne. Good size portion, perfectly cooked. Not too greasy, not too dry. Side order of curry sauce for dunking my chips in. Washed it down with proper 1901 Irn Bru and sat until dark contemplating why Barr's did away with these glass cheques. I parked adjacent to Para Handy's Vital Spark puffer, unmistakable in red and black. Good accessible toilets here, besides parking spaces for all modes of vehicle from motorbikes to blue badge to campervan. And it's just a short hop to the chippy on the main street! Check the parking meter carefully. Sometimes it's free although it may not be immediately obvious!...

"This caf is tucked away down a lane just off Main Street East (opposite The George Hotel) so it would be easy to miss. If youre looking a lunchtime snack, as we were, its worth considering. Its a very compact space with a few steps...down from the door and it was busy however we managed to get a table. The menu consisted of soup, sandwiches, paninis and baked potatoes with a standard variety of fillings and so we ordered up a Cheese Ham Panini 6.15) and a Tuna Mayo Baked Potato 7.25) with a side order of cheese 1.30) and a couple of Americano coffees. The Panini was served with a salad garnish and some coleslaw (the latter of which I unusually liked) and the Baked Potato with a little salad garnish too. The food tasted okay and was served up by pleasant staff in a reasonable timescale so all was perfectly satisfactory in our experience. The cost was 18.90. Later whilst walking up Dun a Cuaiche (overlooking Inveraray Castle) we were wishing that we had opted for some of the cakes on offer to give us a boost of energy. There are a couple of unisex toilets and these appeared to be well maintained. The usual Covid-19 rules appeared to be respected with staff and guests wearing facemasks when not seated and hand sanitiser was provided. From this aspect you would need to accept that it is a small caf and spacing between tables is not particularly generous which may not suit everyone. Overall, a fairly standard caf experience, even if a little compact."
