Gasthaus zur Schranne

When I'm in the corner, I'll be back there. Good food, nice staff and acceptable prices

Food was quite good (schnitzel and braten), wine by the bottle was good and fairly priced and the ambiance was pleasant. Service was exceptionally friendly (and we speak German).

The inn has a beer garden where we could get a place in sunny weather. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. On the menu there is something for everyone and the food is also very delicious. Ver carta

Very good original restaurant with typical Bavarian dishes. Very tasty and sufficient in portions, especially the Blaukraut staff are very friendly and attentive. For several people you should reserve, especially on weekends! Recommended!

We were here for a family dinner and were mildly disappointed. We had Schweinsaxe, zweibelrostbraten, bauernente and About half of us were disappointed with our food. The pork knuckles in particular were dry. Service, while pleasant, was quite slow

We had lunch after our trip to Partenkirchen, so we arrived around 2.30pm. Therefore the menu was a reduced one with not the whole set of dishes. Nonetheless we ordered beef and snitchel, and both were really delicious. The service was very nice and fast, and the place is beautiful and cozy. Ver carta

We were here 2 times on our holiday and are totally enthusiastic. The dishes seem to have a good quality and are deliciously prepared. The portions are quite large so that unfortunately no dessert has been matched. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. There is a very nice rustic interior and a cozy terrace. In the next holiday in Garmisch we will definitely return.

Made reservations months ago for Christmas dinner and wasn't disappointed. My food was very good and the pumpkin soup amazing. Another person in our party didn't like the sauce with the sauerkraut but that was just a personal preference. Our other guest had the fish and loved it along with the cheese soup. We really enjoyed it and would definitely go again when visiting Garmisch.

The Gasthaus zur Schranne is located near the pedestrian area in Garmisch. It is a cozy guest house with beer garden. The service is warm and accommodating. The food is Bavarian honest and very good. Prices are reasonable. The portions are so that you get really tired. Sure, you can also take one of the very tasty appetizers. Then it will be close to the main dish. For me a clear recommendation.
