"Ich hatte einen Tisch bestellt für 5 Personen, anlässlich eines Familiengeburtstages. Wir haben uns auf dieses Treffen gefreut. Als wir ankamen, bekamen wir zwar einen sehr schönen gedeckten Tisch zugewiesen, aber der Geräuschpegel war so laut, dass wir dort unmöglich hätten essen und uns unterhalten können, zumal 2 Mitglieder unserer Familie Hörprobleme haben. Es wurde dann aber schnell ein neuer Tisch in einem ruhigeren Raum gedeckt, wo es allerdings kälter war. Danke für die schnelle Reaktion."

"I had ordered an eleven burger. the flesh apparently came out of the frozen chest, was lukewarm and reminded of sorry press meat. I let the burger go back and got my cracked meat!! for the fact that one advertises in this restaurant with meat of 1a quality, it was only disappointing and is not in any ratio at the price. the sweet potato red beete suppe unfortunately reminded of a kartoffel bree, also only lukewarm. the very nice waiter forgot our drink order before louder excitement. very bad everything, we had presented ourselves differently the evening on valentinstag."

"Wir waren viele Jahre Stammgäste im Maison Charlotte. Der gestrige Abend war eher durchwachsen bezogen auf den Anspruch und das Preisniveau des Maison Charlotte. Positiv: Der Cremant Rose und die beiden offenen Weine (1x weiß und 1x ein Malbec) waren sehr gut. Auch die Creme Brulee zum Abschluss war prima. Die Foie Gras war eigentlich gut, aber Meersalzsplitter auf der Soße passten geschmacklich nicht wirklich. Wir hatten 2x die Lammhüfte und in beiden Fällen waren zu unterschiedlichen Zeiten geordert, da einmal parallel zu den anderen Vorspeisen war das Gericht nicht wirklich heiß. Geschmacklich ansonsten gut. Die Kruste des Eismeersaiblings 3. Hauptgericht war eher zu dunkel. Wir fragen uns, ob es in der Küche Wechsel gab oder ob wir nur einen schlechten Abend erwischt hatten. Auf Nachfrage wurde uns bestätigt, dass der Geschäftsführer unverändert der gleiche ist. Der Service war wieder sehr gut. Vermutlich werden wir den nächsten Besuch im Maison Charlotte eher nach hinten verschieben."

"From the things we tried, there was nothing worth finishing: - liver (goat and beef) was dry, - ravioli with spinach and ricotta had not more than 2% spinach, - the salad leaves were so huge and dripping with sauce, impossible to eat without staining the clothes. Next day we were in a different Italian restaurant in Potsdam (near Charlottenhof) with a surprisingly similar menu, it was an order of magnitude better. For example, ravioli with spinach and ricotta indeed had both and were delicious."

"Wir haben von Berlin aus einen kleinen Abstecher nach Potsdam gemacht und haben uns in der Mittagszeit was zum Essen gesucht und sind dann vor dem Laila gelandet. Es saß niemand drinnen und wir haben uns kurz gefragt, ob das was zu bedeuten hat, aber wir hatten Hunger, also sind wir rein. Und wir wurden sooooo positiv überrascht. Mir fehlen die Worte.Hier bedient der Chef noch höchstpersönlich und seine Frau kocht. Und ich kann euch sagen: Sie kocht sowas von gut.Wir wurden nett und zuvorkommend bedient und weil nur wir seine Gäste waren, wurden wir ganz toll unterhalten. Es war überhaupt nicht störend, einfach nur so so nett.Das Essen kam gefühlt wie im Flug und es war einfach perfekt. Alles harmonierte so so so gut. Süß, sauer, würzig, mild. Das Fleisch war butterzart.Wenn ich wieder in Potsdam bin, weiß ich wo ich essen gehen werde.Also liebe Leute: Scheut euch nicht, nachmittags in ein leeres Lokal namens Laila in Potsdam zu gehen. Abends sollte man übrigens reservieren. Da ist die Hütte meistens voll."

"Der alte Chinaimbiss ist verschwunden und tataaa! macht an gleicher Stelle ein stylisches Restaurant mit Vietnamesischer Fusionsküche auf. Vom Interieur, von der Stimmung und dem Service bin ich absolut begeistert. Und das Essen ist der Hammer. Ich hätte nie gedacht, dass man zu solch moderaten Preisen ein so fein abgestimmtes und unglaublich leckeres Essen bekommen kann. Bleibt nur zu hoffen, dass das so bleibt. Yes the beer is okay and the staff less unhelpful than some of the reviews here would imply but the food we had was less than inspiring. All I can think is the regular chef was away. My suggestion is go one street over and there are a wealth of more interesting looking places to eat."

"have also eaten the deebrust there, but with rice and planted wine sauce. very good taste, but unfortunately a little on the plate. with a presuper and a fruit desert you get a good deal. many colorful drinks invite to stay longer, but the seating is really a little economical. no rest etc. in autumn are heated parasols on site, so you can comfortably sit there with cover until winter and enjoy the view of the Sanssouci Park. "So... I am living near Potsdam and have heard about the Russian neighborhood and decided to go for a lunch. The place is ok, but the plate is small and quite expensive for the German standards. I had fish (which was ok and looked good)...but I had to eat again around hours later... I have ordered water, and they brought me a small glass. And charged me around Euros. I think is a natural water, straight from the backyard, so let’s forgive it my husband had strogonoff and complained that hardly had meat on it. Anyway, if you are there, it may be ok to enter, but I don’t think I would return though"

"Das Pino ist eine ganz besondere Adresse. Hier bekommt man sehr gehobene italienische Küche in einem sehr angenehmen Ambiente. Die Speisen sind von hervorragender Qualität, schmecken fantastisch und sind optisch beeindruckend angerichtet. Die Größe der Portionen sind etwas kleiner, was uns nicht negativ aufgefallen ist. Solche Gerichte muss man einfach genießen und wir wurden von einer Vor- und Hauptspeise satt. Preislich empfinden wir das Pino als angemessen, man darf nicht vergessen, dass man hier nicht nur das Essen bezahlt. Der exzellente Service und die magischen Hände in der Küche möchten auch leistungsgerecht bezahlt werden. Wir können uns nicht über niedrige Löhne aufregen, im Gegenzug aber den Teller für 15 Euro voll haben wollen. Das Pino ist nichts für jede Woche, dann wäre es auch nichts besonderes mehr, aber wenn wir hier essen gehen, dann passt einfach alles. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team, dass wir sowas in Potsdam genießen können!"

"It was not easy for us to find Neuer Markt on which Waage is situated inside the old Custom House. Only few tables were occupied on this rainy Saturday evening at nearly pm when we arrived and were welcomed by the nice staff. I...had a nice antipasta presented as an artwork as a starter (see picture) and it was very delicious. My main course was an Argentine entrecote that was perfectly cooked. My wife was a little disappointed by the preparation of her scallops that she had for the starter but not the scallops itself. I enjoyed the only half bottle of red wine on the wine list, a Chianti."

"We have been at the Juliette for dinner. It is one of the few exclusive places in Potsdam where to go for a special occasion. The menu offers high class french cuisine. They offer clomplete menus with several courses. The portions are reasonable, so that...you can enjoy every course without overindulging. However, come hungry! Beside the orderes dishes, you will get an amuse as greeting from the kitchen and some sweet bites when you order the check. The service (especially the waitress) could be friendlier and more attentive for such a high class restaurant. She didn't bring us to our table, didn't take our coats and forgot to ask if we would care for a bottle of water with the wine even though the restaurant wasn't crowded at all. But..when in Potsdam again, I would come again. Especially for the delicious dessert."

"We came here two spontaneously under the week and had luck getting a table. The restaurant is very small and has few places inside. If it's not too cold, you can sit outside. We had an appetizer and a main dish. Especially the appetizers were very big, you should have a little more hunger to create everything. For my taste, the appetizer should have been a little smaller. Tastefully everything was excellent. We could also watch the work in the kitchen from our place. That was all very clean and super organized. The My Keng clearly stands out from the “average asiate”, but it must also be looked after to pay slightly elevated prices."

"Service was a complete and utter mess. We waited over half an hour for our food, which was mediocre at best and bland at worst. After we waited yet another 30 mins for the bill, our server left mid payment to tend to other tables and only returned after desperate attempts 15 mins later. The couple next to us got their food 20 mins apart as well. Prices are ok, it’s a great location and ambience would have been good, if it wasn’t for the guests being flabbergasted by the waiters running around like headless chicken, trying to find the right table for their meal. Was very surprised as most other reviews are good, maybe they were training half the servers that day. It was definitely an experience dining here and really entertaining at times but overall quite a frustrating dinner."
