"After the crown in Hanweiler, the crown in Winnenden Birkmannsweiler and the former Irma la Douce in Stuttgart, Toni Wahl is now the tenant of the unicorn in Oppenweiler. On my to do list, I originally had his gourmet sting in the unicorn. Since there was only one menu to choose from and this was available either as 3, 4 or 5 75 Euro Gang menu and I found the price called for it happily, I redisposed. Since we had to do this Sunday noon in the area, we returned there for lunch, directly on the main road and unattendable, it is a tastefully renovated old house. The interior also stands in nothing, and it looks like professionals have put in all interior architectural matters. The bright and modern ambience is pleasant, one sits on comfortable artificial leather chairs and the guest room area is spacious and extends from the main room with the counter to the central guest room to the hose-shaped one in which it sits most calmly. The square table lamp I found stylish, but on the table a number too large. A reservation was no longer necessary at 13 a.m. Large families and small celebrations at large tables contributed to an enormous sound level. Choice, who stayed in the counter area on our arrival, showed us our table with a fingertip. Why it should be before the counter, no explanation is required. Very cozy, as also directly at the entrance and next to the wardrobe. I can only warn at table 5. The tables are so tight that the chairs, the Dahinter sitting end wants to stand up, must first be pulled to the table. While we're already sitting, a clean table cloth is laid over the totally dirty one. Covered with shaky hands by a young lady whose hair is as if she had just left the bed. My first cut should belong to the meat, because I would not have accepted any training hours at this price. I had a knife before, a fork was missing... a good to very good quality and also my desired cooking level was hit. I wouldn't have fried it so dark. A fine port wine sauce. That's what it was about positive... potato roasting is not a culinary art. That it should be potato roasting was only recognizable at one of the three pieces. All the others were loose rasps and lay mushy on the plate. The interior of the recognizable roast was gray and could have been avoided. A bowl as I use for cream broiler was filled with green beans, champignon, peppers and tomatoes, freshly baked from the TK and with the same ruthless cheese or put under the Salamander. "Das Lokal Kunberger in Backnang wirbt mit dem Slogan „Ein Stück Backnang“ und ein „Mittagstisch für Alle“. Die Karte ist kurz und übersichtlich, wie es sein soll. Das Personal sehr freundlich und scheint den Laden im Griff zu haben. Preislich kann man sich nicht beschweren und die Portionen sind sowohl beim Essen als auch bei der Größe der Gläser angemessen. An den beiden Slogans muss sich das Restaurant aber auch messen lassen. Bei näherer Betrachtung der Karte stellt sich die Frage, was genau soll Backnang jetzt eigentlich sein? Hier findet sich die Wildbolognese neben dem Rinderschnitzel und der Currywurst von der Roten. Die Tomatensuppe lässt keinen Wunsch offen und schmeckt richtig gut. Auch der Säuregrad war angemessen. Die Wildbolognese war etwas gewagt in der Geschmackskombination. Hier wurden die Nudeln mit Preiselbeeren und Parmesan garniert. Die Karte wird mit „Quicklunch“ überschrieben. Die eigentliche Karte kann dann nochmals eine andere Ausrichtung haben. Grunbdsätzlich geht es aber wohl um die verschiedenen Gesichter der schwäbischen Küche. Ein „Mittagstisch für Alle“ ist sicher richtig. In der Innenstadt gegenüber des Stiftes lässt es sich aushalten und man kann bequem draußen sitzen. Nur ist der kleine Tisch an der Seite zum Nachbarhaus nicht zu empfehlen, da aus dem Kellerfenster auf Kniehöhe ein feuchter modriger Geruch entweicht. Insgesamt eine gute Wahl für ein schönes Mittagessen und sicher zu empfehlen."
