"Our first visit here and can’t wait to come back. I’m a little biased towards game as I pick up with my gundog during the season. But three game dishes to choose from?! Unheard of. I opted for the ballotine of pheasant with cranberry stuffing, wrapped in bacon and served with the most delicious red wine sauce. Creamy mash and three veg came with the dish for a ridiculous £14. Incredible value. It was the best pub meal I’ve had in years and was better than a Christmas dinner. The waiter said that game’s most likely on the menu until mid to late February so we’re definitely coming back, despite the hour’s drive. Oh yes, my wife lived her home made suet pudding. I can’t recall enjoying a pub meal as much as this. Great service throughout, a warm welcome but the chef wins the day for turning out food like this."

chose the generous briton in brant broughton as a place for a group of friends from different parts of the country to meet for lunch. we enjoyed our meal very much. eating was really good all that hot and well presented. the staff was friendly and attentive and made us very welcome. the parking lot is quite small, but there are many street parking spaces on the road outside.

The restaurant offers delicious food, attentive staff, and excellent service. A group of six friends went out for a meal and found a variety of options on the menu, including five specials. They enjoyed dishes such as homemade steak pie, three chicken dishes, and partridge, all served hot and tasty. The sides of chips and fresh vegetables were also delicious. The mains were priced around £14-£17 each. Despite not having room for dessert, everyone left with clean plates. The group has dined here before and has always had a great experience, unlike the previous reviewer's comments.

we had not planned our visit. only literally convened, it was as busy as Sunday afternoon, but we were told to tell him that we were outside and had a drink, would be found a table. it was a beautiful sunny warm day, unusual! we sat on comfortable chairs with the sunbeam on us. our drinks were brought to us and within a short time a table was found, but we were happy to stay outside on the sun. we ordered our meals and were served by a helpful and welcoming waiter. our meals have not disappointed, absolutely delicious and followed by delicious apple crumbs. we have not enjoyed any meal as much as we enjoyed this meal for a long time. will certainly be revisiting!

a wonderful East Sunday dinner. although the pub was full to overflow, the service was fast and friendly and the air was thick with the sound of people enjoying their meal. my wife and I had roast dinner and the gravy was perhaps the best I ever had. our sohn (28 and with an appetit to fit) had the fish cake. this was a work of art with beautiful pieces of fish cooked to perfection. my wife is proud of her fish cake and this one has met with her complete seal of approval. we washed this with a really well-priced bottle albariño and then split 2 desserts. the brot and the butter pudding was light and tasty, with a lot of pumpkin fried. the other dessert was half an eastery filled with cheesec...

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
