Good value food served with a smile in lovely comfortable surroundings. The Sunday roast menu is excellent value, lovely roast potatoes, Yorkshire pud and tasty gravy. Good choice of starters and puddings. Helpful staff.

I took my 2 grandchildren for a meal here and it was really nice. The place is lovely inside. We were served by James who was brilliant very friendly, helpful nothing was too much trouble for him. Food was very good. We will be back.

4 different meals, 3 courses with drinks at an extremely reasonable price. Service very attentive, nice atmosphere although think need more bar staff as we had to stand there for 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. This said, would definitely return. Ver carta

Very nice food with friends! We were sat in the beer garden and the sun was shining, unfortunately we kept getting a strong smell of blocked drains/rotten eggs? A few people commented moved because of it. We would still like to come back again and try more food.

Service was ok, not too busy as a Tuesday night. Hubby and I went for a meal for his birthday. Menu sounded lovely hence why we picked here but unfortunately all the food we ordered all tasted the same and very bland. Not cheap either. 2nd time we've eaten here definitely won't go back.

We have just been in for Father’s Day, such a lovely atmosphere, the staff really are great. They’re friendly, and go above and beyond. The food is lovely as well. The only thing that lets it down is the women toilets. We come in often as we usually come for a drink after our dog walks, and the toilets just look like they need some TLC. door locks can be broken, skirting boards are never clean) But overall we really do enjoy coming to visit. This is the second time we have had a re union at the George and Dragon ,The first was a lunch time session and tonight was an evening meal . On both occasions we were welcomed and had excellent service . One member of our party had a problem with her meal .. it was dealt with swiftly and was duly sorted ! All staff were totally professional and accommodating .At this time of year ... pat on the back !!Well done ! 5 stars for this evening ...

This was my first visit. I went with a party of work colleagues for a Christmas meal. The atmosphere was nice, appeared warm and cosy. Staff were attentive and the was service good. I couldn't have the starter that I had ordered originally as it had gluten in, another option wasn't offered, so I presumed there was no alternative. My steak was very chewy, fatty and I couldn't eat it. I ate the chips, tomato and a little salad but wasn't keen on the sweet dressing. The majority of others in the party seemed to enjoy their meals. My dessert was good but I left still feeling hungry.

Went for lunch with my mum on a weekday, the pub had a few customers in, the restaurant was clean and welcoming and was really looking forward to some dinner. When ordering at the bar I found the woman who served me looked very unhappy in her job as she did not once crack a smile and her tone of voice sounded like she couldn’t be bothered . We ordered off the lunch time menu and ordered 2 garlic mushrooms and 2 steak and chips. The starter (Garlic mushrooms) was not pleasant at all they were salty and the cheese in them was so strong you couldn’t even taste the garlic and the slice of brown bread we got with it was stale. The steak was shocking and had a funny smell like it was off or not be... Ver carta
