I highly recommend to those who visit asi to stop in this trattoria where you can taste the typical Umbrian cuisine together with the beauty of the place. and praise September foils

We ate here for lunch after our tour of the Basilica. it is close to the main garden square in front of the basilica- but definitely up hill like most of Assisi). We made reservations which i would recommend as it is a small restaurant. it was nice and cool inside on a very hot day. a very pleasant experience. prompt service. i ate the risotto which was particularly flavorful.

the ghiotto offers an excellent cuisine of the territory not far from san francesco and a few steps from Porta san giacomo. the menu is not wide, but certainly of quality and quantity, as well as the wine card is suitable for the culinary offer, some notes of modern and new has been introduced and not ruined. the service is courteous and attentive. the price is not cheap, but it is correct. a place to keep an eye on. Quaint restaurant in Assisi. Nice atmosphere and very nice wait staff. The appetizer we chose was pea velutte with raw and cooked cad. It was excellent. I chose the chicken for the main course, my sisters a pasta with beans and mint. And an Asian inspired duck leg. The chicken was most likely cut through the bone after cooking it and adding the sauce. So many tiny bones in the sauce. Hard to pull the meat off without either the thick skin or small bones. Really didn’t care for it. My sisters both loved their meal.
