Visited here on a Saturday night, it wasn't busy at all. The portions are small and food was okay. I would have liked the batter on the fish to be a bit crispier. The only think that was good was the mushy peas, but you can't really go wrong with mushy peas. Fish and chips was also the same price whether you got mushy peas or not. Staff were miserable and we felt as though we were an inconvenience by buying food there. Won't be going there again. I only went in there as I was on holiday just up the road from the fish and chip shop. Whatever you do don't ask for a pea fritter. Whatever was in that hot plate look like a pea fritter but it wasn't. It was something completely different which I've never heard of before. I made that mistake. If looks could kill I would be dead. . I take it you don't do pea fritters then . Other than that. Lovely food and great service. I will be definitely popping in the next time I am up that way. Ordered 2 battered jumbo sausages and 1 portion of chips, I asked for salt and vinegar on both, plus a can of coke. Was really surprised at the price being so cheap, £7.70 I believe. When we opened up the wrapping back at the car the sausage and chips had been seasoned but the sausage on its own hadn't. Less than half the chips were edible, most were vastly overcooked, 1 bite of the sausage and I realised why the price was so cheap the cheapest of the cheap sausages Very limited menu and the place is dingy at best.
