"We called in here late on a Saturday evening before returning home. We fancied Chinese so headed to Chinatown and chose this place partly because the menu looked a bit more interesting and partly because it had Chinese people eating it rather than tourists which is usually a good sign. There seemed to be an awful lot of staff for the number of customers and they were reasonably attentive. The decor is VERY basic and reminded me a little of school canteens. Boxes were piled everywhere and everything by way of kitchen tools and accessories seemed to be on display. To be fair the food was very good indeed. Freshly cooked and huge portions, without a hefty price tag. For vegans there are plenty of veggie options too. The service however, was just a bit weird. Staff were just a bit too casual. The food was brought out on a piece meal basis so some of our party had to start without others to prevent food going cold. When we asked for some leftover rice to be boxed up, we were given the box and expected to do it ourselves. It was okay. Just a bit odd. BUT... I would go there again for the food alone. I suspect if you got to know some of the staff they would look after you a bit better. It should be the other way round really."

Good for a quick bite to eat as their set menu is reasonably priced. Food was good although the soup was a little bland. Their 'special ' dishes looked very nice

Twice now eaten here, excellent Chinese food, I have lived in China and know what it really tastes like. Helpful friendly staff and good food what more can you ask for?

Staff are difficult, waitress cutting nails on restaurant floor many other better places. The noodles were ok. Another customer was complaining about her meal too. Plates are marked and chipped.

We were wandering along Gerrard Street looking for a new restaurant for an annual reunion lunch and saw this place was boarded up. Several restaurants in Chinatown still have their websites up even though they 're currently shut, so if you 're coming from a distance 'phone ahead in case your preferred dining place is one of them.

I visited Oriental Dragon two weeks ago. Let me tell you I am a big fan of Authentic Chinese food and this restaurant has fulfilled all my desires. The ambiance was excellent; service is fantastic. Now talking about core part i.e., food. I did order stir fried prawn in cashew nut, and stew beef and both were mouthwatering. I couldn't order more as my tummy got full. I plan to visit again, whenever I am in London.

Went for a late lunch, however, food we ordered wasn't available, so had to choose something else. (Egg fried rice and tofu) as not much choice for vegetarians. Presentation was awful, and food was bland. Not value for money. Waiting staff were miserable. Was only given a total for the bill, and had to ask a rundown of the costs. Shocked that I was charged a service charge, as wouldn't have left a tip. Avoid this restaurant.

I visited the restaurant during my last visit to London. It was an amazing experience at Oriental Dragon. The ambiance of the place is recommended for a romantic date. I ordered some Chinese stuff with a mojito. The meal was lip-smacking with red-hot sauces, cooked to perfection. Really pleased with the service quality and taste of food. Staff members are very friendly and courteous. In short, it was a magnificent dining experience. Feeling hungry to visit again!!

I wouldn't usually go into a smaller restaurant like this, but I'm very glad I did. I saw locals eating here, which is always a good sign. I was staying in Chinatown for the night and just had to try some of the food. I was politely greeted and shown to a table, given a menu. The English was good, but not great. Not a problem. As a small restaurant what looks like family owned I wouldn't have expected perfect English, there wasn't really a language barrier, they tried their best. A table opposite me with an older English couple weren't so tolerant. Their constant complaining about trivial things was extremely annoying. The food was very good, traditional Chinese. Exactly what I wanted. Not c...

My dining companion and I spun the golden wheel of fortune this day. Being seasoned connosseiurs of the genre, we were completely open to the opportunities that awaited us. Of the three dragons in this stretch of the strip, we went for the smaller of the group, thinking we would be better looked after, and secretly, believed that they would all be served from the same kitchen. I hope not, because I'd like to try the other two. The food was absolutely fine, and the chilli squid was amazing. The one thing that we really found disconcerting was the strange taste of the cooking oil. Thankfully most of what we ate was steamed and this was really yummy. Price wise it was OK, and it seemed to be bu...
