"Lovely little country pub, stopped for a late lunch on Saturday, fast service food was excellent for the price. Last time I visited was a few years ago had Lincolnshire sausage pie couldn't find it on the menu this time which was a shame as I remembered how delicious it was, ordered a all day breakfast which was lovely although not Lincolnshire sausage, my partner had a cheeseburger which he said was lovely. "not in front of our door and over an hour drive away, but our second visit in so many days is so good! this time for an excellent Sunday dinner for two. between us we ordered chicken,- kicherbsen- and kartoffel soup and king Prawn cocktail, followed by bratbeef with all circumcisions and roojau would have had it with new kartoffels and had it before tom. beautiful arome and no morsel on both tellers! very generous portions and beautifully cooked and presented. did not want to miss out on their delicious desserts, so orange gels had packed with chocolate wedges and ice and pimms gele with obst and covered with ice: strawberries, kiwi, orange segments, bromberries, blueberries. I tell them it was a solid and very favorable. family run, home cooking, it is the best place for miles around. get to the albion, it is a jewel of an ortes."

"After moving to the area a few months ago, we have ordered takeaway from this restaurant over 3 or 4 times. I want to start by acknowledging the friendly and polite delivery drivers. However, I must say that only one of our orders was better than the one that prompted me to leave today's review. The food has been bland and not very hot on at least two occasions. Today's order was excessively greasy, with the chicken in the dupiaza being tender but the sauce swimming in oil. The onion bhajis were both greasy and bland. The breads we've tried were soggy or stale and too thin and crispy in the middle. I'm disappointed to leave this review, but after multiple experiences, I can't say I'm impressed. On a positive note, the ability to order and pay online saved a star, as most other takeaways in the area only accept cash and require phone orders."

"Summary: Nice food at a reasonable price, but staff and reception could definitely be improved! The long version: Went for a meal in the evening with reservations, got through the door and waited to be greeted/shown to our table.. And waited, and waited... Several staff members buzzing around and each and every one of them ignoring us entirety, and even pushing past us (no excuse me ! . Eventually the manager came over and asked us to order some drinks at the bar (we 'd rather just go to our table thanks, but oh okay.. . Get told to sit down at the table next to the bar, and are brought menus and told we can order while we sit there and afterwards we 'll be taken to our proper table, bit weird! I assumed it was because they were rammed full and they were waiting for someone to leave, but when we eventually got in, the place was almost empty. Meal (in contrast to the staff was actually pretty good, tasty and reasonably priced. Frustrating because the staff problems could be so easily solved! Unfortunately the service as it is turned a nice meal into an unpleasant experience."

"Tried somewhere different for a Saturday morning breakfast and was somewhat underwhelmed. The shop and in particular, the butchers is superb. Excellent veg and meats so much better than supermarkets. However the breakfast was very plentiful but disappointing. It arrived within 5 minutes of me ordering it, which immediately raised suspicion . I got the full English which was a large dish. However, the black pudding was hard and dry. The poached eggs were also dry, yolk hard, and passed their best. For size, the sausages were possibly the two biggest I’ve ever seen on a breakfast plate, very meaty, almost certainly home made, but, unfortunately, very dry and tasteless. I never usually leave sausages but this time I left one. The beans, bacon, hash browns, mushrooms and tomatoes and toast were fine. Coffee good. Obviously the black pud, sausages and eggs had been drying out for a while awaiting my arrival! Pleasant little restaurant, recently expanded with more tables, however, for breakfast (not tried anything else), it’s a considerable way away from the excellent quality of Caistor Lakes just a few miles away. As a local to Sunnyside I will continue to use the butchers and will try the restaurant again one day."
