This is an unpretentious hotel restaurant, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. The food was, as expected, of good quality.

Having had no luck with eating at our hotel, La Colombiere (they ignored our on-line booking) we found an excellent restaurant in the Grand Hotel de la Poste. (In fact, if we had to stay in Massiac again we will probably stay in this hotel). The food was really very good and not too expensive. For the two of us, a 3-course meal including a bottle of wine came to €70.00 Ver carta

We ended up there in transit from Spain after an 8-hour flat tire incident. It was very hot to check in, but if you opened the windows in your room in the evening and at night, it became nice and cool because you are in the mountains. Rooms were clean, beautiful bathroom, wonderful beds, clean linen, breakfast simple, but fine and friendly staff. Hotel highlights: Quiet

Yet in a stopover village, I 'm disappointed to have found hair that doesn 't belong to me in the bathroom but above all borderline products at breakfast, the jbon remained on my plate, the cooking water for the eggs was dirty ... No restaurant but a food vending machine that I did not try... In the end, very poor value for money, for example, the next day I was in a Logis de France hostel, at the same price but in Stopover evening with a gourmet restaurant... There I had to dine outside and as a result the stopover evening budget was exceeded...

A traditional logis with a pleasant, airy dining room. Massiac is just off the A75 and would make a welcome alternative to a motorway service area if you had the time for a longer stop. There is a choice of good value menus and dishes à la carte including many regional specialities. There is a formule for 15 euros at lunch time during the week. On a Saturday there was a plat du jour for 11 euros or a 4 course menu for 24 euros. The portions were generous and I particularly remember that the fruit tart I had for dessert was very good.Service was friendly & efficient. Overall - well worth a visit. Ver carta
