"I was extremely disappointed with our recent visit to this restaurant. We have dined here several times in the past and always enjoyed the food, but this time all four of our roasts were served cold. We mentioned it to the staff and they replaced them, but unfortunately the replacements were also cold. My daughter tried to speak to the manager about the issue, but she was not offered an apology and the manager seemed indifferent to the situation. It was quite upsetting. If it were my business, I would have been very apologetic and offered a complimentary drink to make up for the mistake."

This pub is charming, but the smell near the men's restroom is unpleasant. We initially sat near the machine but had to move because of the odor. It's unfortunate because the place is nice.

Great night with my friends. Steak was lovely with a amazing peppered sauce. Staff polite and kind could not do enough to make sure all was ok. Made feel very welcome, never been there before but would go back anytime.

One of my favourite pubs in town! The food was delicious I had a burger and chips. Aria was so attentive and made sure we had everything we needed, including changing the sauce that came with my burger. Thank you aria! We will be back.

Such a quaint pub, steeped in history and atmosphere. It gets top marks for being dog friendly too. Came for an anniversary meal, and was not disappointed. Super food and drink, well presented and very reasonably priced. What is not to like?

After reading the reviews, I booked a table for three at The Ship on a Saturday night and we were not let down. The restaurant was packed, so booking in advance is a must. The venue was fantastic. Our food arrived promptly after ordering, and we were able to order from our table using an app. The beer was top-notch and reasonably priced, and the friendly staff made the experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be returning.

We took my daughter back to Uni and stopped here for lunch at her choosing. It was a great place, decorated well with wood ceiling beams. We sat upstairs at a coffee table and needed to pull up a chair because it was busy. The food came very hot and fresh and was all delicious. I had macaroni and cheese, which was the perfect portion size and came with salad. My daughter had the soup, which was also delicious. My husband had a burger. He liked the sauce. I’d recommend the ship!
