"Visiting Crewe with my wife we decided to take an early lunch at Miller and Carter. Our choice of restaurant being influenced by an earlier experience at the Telford outlet. Receiving a warm greeting from Reception we were shown to our table by David, who was to be our server throughout the meal. The Fixed Price Menu seemed to meet our needs and we ordered starters of salt and pepper calamari and sticky chipotle chicken. The main course being two 7 oz Rump steaks, one served with a mixed salad and the other with onion loaf, tomato, and seasoned fries. Drinks comprised a glass of a very pleasing South African merlot and a Fevertree tonic water. The meal met with our expectations and the steaks (cooked medium) had just the right degree of pinkness. The dishes were well prepared, nicely presented, and the steaks in particular were full of flavour. Competitively priced at £16.25 per head for a 2-course lunch, or £19.25 if wanting a dessert, we thought it represented very good value for money. The restaurant gave out a pleasant ambience and the spacious seating ensured comfort in just the right setting. Mention should also be made of the washroom facilities which were as to be expected. Having spent a good number of years in Hospitality Management I could not fault our young attendant David, who we both thought performed his tasks to a high standard. Happy to recommend."

"Very disappointing. Took ages to be seated and the restaurant was cold, we were given a table right next to the service station so there were servers coming and going all the time. Asked what the Kansas caviar was and the waitress didn't know, which is something that you would expect them to, or for an explanation to be on the menu. The food was good but not spectacular and over priced. More interested in bums on seats than customer comfort that table should not be there. Also saw servers decanting mayo and other sauces into the same bottles. Can understand some sauces but mayo?? How old is that mix??? "Great pub for a summer afternoon. The carpark is just about big enough if people park sensibly. The inside area is a little cramped but they have managed to squeeze a pool table in. Outside, they have loads of space with different sections (a patio area, a covered external bar with large TV and an open grassy area with picnic benches). This means that everyone can be spread out and enjoy the sunshine."

"Although not in the best of areas, and not really near any other good bars or restaurants, the Thai Corner is consistently good and can be replied on. One couple of our party had a Set Menu which was very good, lots of dishes but only one portuon o rice to a number of dishes. They asked for another portion of rice and were charged full price for it! We spent quite alot of money on our meal and drinks especially a free portion of rice, which must cost the Restaurant next to nothing, would have been a nice goodwill gesture. The only down point would be that the waiter made it very obvious that he was ready to close even though it was only 10pm on a Saturday evening."

"When our meal arrived, everything seemed fine until my husband discovered a piece of chicken tikka in his dish. Luckily, we had not started eating yet and he did not ingest the chicken. We were very upset and called the waiter over. He apologized and offered to replace the dish, but we were too disgusted by the experience to accept. It seemed like a deliberate act, as we had specifically requested vegan dishes this time, whereas in the past we were fine with vegetarian options. We feel that this incident is unacceptable, regardless of whether it was a mistake or intentional. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this restaurant, despite the fact that the food is normally very good. This disappointing experience has left a bad taste in our mouths. Vegan and vegetarian diners, beware!"
