Wir sind am Abend nach der Töfflitour Chur-Ascona zum Nachtessen gegangen. Super nette Bedienung durch die Schwester des Inhabers. Selbstgemachte Pasta, Ravioli und ein wunderbarer Dessert durften wir da geniessen. Wie hatten viel Spass und es wurde uns auch noch Kaffee und Limoncello offeriert. Da gehen wir bestimmt wieder hin

Der Außenbereich ist sehr schön, jedoch war das Fleisch (Rippchen und Bratwurst) sehr trocken und eine weitere Beilage oder Soße zu den Kartoffeln wünschenswert. "We went to this restaurant for the third time after having reserved a month in advance for seven people plus two teenage boys and a two and a half year old baby. Upon our arrival we are led into a room reserved for us. Shortly after, my wife and Conato came out holding my two and a half year old son's hand to show him the restaurant. All was well except that about ten minutes later they returned and my wife, in tears to my great surprise, explained to me that she had been verbally attacked by a restaurant employee who filmed her and told her that the restaurant was full that evening it should be noted that at that moment we were the only customers present having arrived first and that they should have stayed in the room to avoid causing disasters. My wife and I are two of the most polite, respectful and sensitive people I have ever met... I'm really sorry I wasn't there, everything would have had a very different ending for the employee in question. Not being able to find a rational motivation for his behavior I can only imagine a racist streak given that my wife is of Asian origins and clearly a total lack of education and ability to relate adequately to others, peculiarities that make him decidedly the person less suitable to be placed in any work position in contact with customers. Having learned of what had happened, I sent for the owner who, after trying to make unsustainable excuses for what had happened, then apologised, hopefully realizing what had happened. If it had been up to me I would have left the place immediately, but having invited guests I didn't want to ruin their evening too so we continued. Service from the rest of the staff was courteous and attentive and the food was truly excellent, with attention to the smallest details and certainly worthy of the chf 200 per person paid. I am also, among other things, Manager and I often speak in training courses about hospitality, about how it is important and fundamental to make customers feel at home and welcome during their entire stay... I must say that never Until now, however, I had experienced first-hand how bad one could feel when this is completely missing. The overall experience in catering comes half from real food, but half from hospitality... then there are many details such as the service which can be more or less up to the level at which a restaurant aims to... but nothing is more important than the welcome and food served. It is true and I explained it for the sake of fairness that it was an unacceptable and inexcusable attitude of an employee and not something palpable and generalized among the restaurant staff, however it is the owner's responsibility to ensure that such bad apples do not represent him and therefore ruin everyone's hard work. We had planned other dinners there in the following weeks but I decided to organize them in the Lugano area, as the memory of what happened was too negative and fresh now. It will be difficult to eat so well, but we will definitely not be treated with arrogance.... I'm pretty sure of it since a similar episode has never happened to me and our baby is welcome and pampered everywhere instead of looked at sideways.. . bah!... we'll see next year.... fortunately it won't just be my choice whether to return or not.. I'll abstain ... it would still be nice to be able to give the 5 stars that this place has the potential to have !"
